HORRIBLE PEOPLE! Went there at 7:30am to get my state inspection done for my car since I had an emergency and needed to drive to san antonio and get on the air force base, and to get on base your inspection needs to be done. Took them until 11am to let me go. Kept "finding" light bulbs that needed to be replaced and after replacing some myself so they wouldn`t charge me service fees they decided my license ... view moreplate light was out and that is one they had to replace themselves as it take a special tool to replace it. Took them freaking forever to change the lightbulb, a damn lightbulb took them an hour and a half. If it takes them that long to switch one lightbulb do you really want them working on your car! DONT GO TO THIS PLACE! I will never go there again I am so angry with Pep boys.

STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!! LIARS!!!!!!
My car was overheating. After stopping and letting it cool off several time and I final made it to Pep Boys they immediately said the diagnostic would cost $39.99, ok what am I going do but go for it. While in the waiting room my son and I could see them mechanics running the car, pouring water in the radiator and the car steaming. After a little bit the head mechanic comes in the waiting area with a tube with yellow... view more water in it. He says we ran a vapor test. You see this water it is suppose to be blue water. This is not good, you blew a gasket. We can fix it but we will need to order the part and it will cost $1300. He then asked if I wanted to see how they performed the test. I said no for what? My son says yeah I want to see that. So we go to the car the run it again, water is boiling over, steam everywhere. So they take this tube of blue water and place it in the radiator opening to collect the vapors. The blue water boils and boils and boils, but the water never changes color. The mechanic performing the test keeps looking at it just waiting and waiting. Then the turn off the car, I said perhaps you didnt run the test right the first time because this water is not changing. Then the test performer says maybe we need to let it run longer. I said I think I have seen enough. Lets let it cool off and Im going home with the car.
I joined AAA immediately and researched and researched where to have my car towed. I was going to Christian Brothers Auto Repair when the tow truck came this morning, but the driver told me they are over priced and I could go to AAA garage and get 15% for being a member and the tow would be free since I am using their services. I was concerned about being lied to again and over charged. I was told they couldnt over charge because they could lose their AAA endorsement. So off the car went. Less then an hour later I received a call, radiator cap seal was no good and the thermostat was sticking. Total cost $124. You tell me was Pep Boys trying to pull a fast one or not?
