Reviews:
It is a rip off place, please whatever you do, please do not go anywhere near pep boys at cooper street in Arlington TX, first I took my Honda accord for a free brake check it took them over an hour to come back to me and after, I was told that the brake and rotor need replacement and when they gave me a quote it was $455 plus tax this fat rude girl, tries to explain why the price was that. Well as i do not have such... view more amount of money for a Accord, I decided to leave them and try my luck somewhere else, however, I was able to get my rotor and brake replaced for a fraction of what was quoted for me ($150) total.
Then few days later, I took my other car a (Mercedes) for a cam shaft position sensor replacement, although I?ˆ™d already purchase this item from the dealer, this girl charged me $79 dollars just to remove the old one and replaced it with a new one that I already bought from a dealer, but this is understandable as they need to be paid labor, however the cam shaft position sensor they replaced did not work as the car would not start, secondly, the guy that fix the item, messed up my radio system as he was trying to reprogrammed it; at this point I asked them to remove as I would like to take it back to the dealer, guess what? This girl at cooper pep boys said she will charge me another $79 dollars plus tax to have it removed, I tried to reason with her but she would not listen, at this point I told her to leave it as it is.
Although I drove my car in to their shop on my way in, but this time my car would not even start, as the cam shaft was not well placed, I had to call a tow truck by myself to take my car to a Mercedes dealer, at the dealership, i was charge $80 to have it replaced and there after my car starts.
The problem is that this girl does not have a clue on what customer services is about, she is very rude and does not compromise or use common sense, needless to say day was my last day to Pep Boys and its associate, I used to go there regularly for my oil change, but now, no way, my brothers/sisters and friends will never visit this shop again.
Stay away from this girl as well as the pepboys!!

Truck was barely running at st...
Truck was barely running at startup after I had replaced the distributor cap, rotor cap, spark plugs and a couple of vacuum hoses. I could not figure out what it was. They said they would do a diagnostics for around $80 dollars and if there was repairs to be done they would lower the cost of the diagnostic down to $45. They called me back and said they had found the problem and it was a plug to one of the sensors wou... view moreld not seat as it had a piece of broken off plastic in the connection. They also replaced a vacuum line. I would have never found it. They did not have the part to replace the connector so they showed me what needed fixed and only charged me $45 for the diagnostics and the repair.

SLOW service
This is the second time I`ve been here. Both times took over two hours. One time for an oil change and the other was a tire patch. There was no one else in front of me so there was no excuse.

Rip-off!
I just moved to Texas and bought a new/used vehicle. It needed a few things done and I decided to go to Pep Boys on Collins in Arlington because it was close. I asked them to do my brakes...both front and rear. After sitting around in the shop for 8 hours they finally finished and I drove home. I noticed on the way home the stopping ability was improved, but the brakes still squeaked. After a week of this I went back... view more to have them check it out, which cost another $10. They told me I would need a new set of front brakes! WHAT!? I just paid to have my brakes replaced! So I had to pay them again to do the front brakes and rear rotors. After another 8 hours I drove home. A month passes and the brakes still squeal. I talked to the mechanic from Pep Boys on the phone and he told me to wait another few weeks for them to break in. A few more weeks pass and still they squeal. All right. A few months pass and I decided to go to a Christian Brothers to have some other work done to the vehicle and half way through their inspection they tell me the front brakes are at 10% of their life and they need to be replaced. I didn`t believe them. I went down there and looked at them myself and the pads were worn almost all the way. The rear had normal wear and the "new rotors" on the rear were actually the same exact ones that were on there from before.
I am going to go to this location and hold them accountable for their mis care and lack of integrity. Hope you don`t go to this shiesty dealer!
