My experience with Mercedes of Austin was easy going. I traded my Lexus IS250 for an E350 and during the entire experience I felt like I was just hanging out shooting the breeze with everyone I met with. They even listened when it came time to bargain and always treated me like a good buddy they hadn`t seen for awhile. I got my E350 at the price I aimed for and they gave me a fair offer on my Lexus.
In fact I b... view moreought the car last year, and have had both my A and B service performed. My experience in service has been quick and pleasant. The requested work is done and I`m in and out reasonably quickly or I get a loaner car. I have had nothing even close to some of the experiences people are describing on YP. I`m thinking there`s more to these stories...I`ve always had a positive experience at Mercedes of Austin.

Surprise, surprise a dishonest car salesman!
I went to the Mercedes dealership to check out a pre-owned Acura. I test drove the car with Ray and was very interested in it. I had a car for trade-in, but did not want the car looked at that day. Obviously, when you trade in car it should be clean. Unfortunately, I was in the process of moving offices and my car was packed with boxes and not at all, clean! When asked to have my car looked at, I said that I didn`t w... view moreant to have my car looked at that day. Ray then tells me ""Oh, I`ll just have one of my guys walk around it."" Two minutes later, I see no less than four guys all around my car, under the hood, in the interior (loaded with boxes) going through every inch of my car! Of course, they low-balled me on my trade-in! Now, I`m not saying that a ""clean"" car would have definitely made a difference in their offer, but it was just the fact that Ray was so dishonest about it. About 20 minutes later, which I had no where to even sit in the dealership, all four of these guys come in looking extremely arrogant and irritated while I`m standing there (remember there`s no place to sit) in front of their faces. Bottom line, my car is certainly not perfect. I would stay away from a place that is so dishonest right in front of your face!

Wow... Mercedes of Austin is horrible
Something to keep in mind throughout this post is that this was the THIRD time I have been to this dealership and the ONLY time I was even helped... True story.
I live in Austin Texas and went to the MB dealership in Austin (Not Georgetown, they were fine) and had the SAME kind of treatment. I went there with intent to buy a vehicle. After trying to bring up pricing and making a deal the SALESMAN (Jim Lang)... view more conviences us to GO HOME TO THINK ABOUT IT and refused to help us unless we paid the sticker price for this vehicle AND a crazy unfair price for trade.
I get home and low and behold, I start getting EMAILS from this guy. We exchange a few emails back and forth and he starts INSULTING ME (i have emails to prove this). Anyways... I just wanted to let everyone know that if you are in Austin Texas, stay clear of this dealership. What a bunch of unprofessional people.

Great Customer Service
I purchased a car from Mercedes-Benz of Austin a few years ago, and since then have always had a great experience with their service department and staff. Mercedes-Benz of Austin offers many great perks and amenities to its customers, including loaner car service, a nice facility and waiting area with wireless internet, and a coffee/snack bar where the attendant or a salesperson always offers me a refreshment. If y... view moreou are looking for a dealership that not only provides a great car buying experience, but also ensures that its customers receive the treatment and service they deserve after purchasing a car, then Mercedes-Benz of Austin is your dealership.

Slow, Cheap, Will do anything to NOT Honor the warranty items
I`ve visited this dealership way too many times ( 5 times for problems in addition to the standard 10,000 mile services) considering I purchased my car new in 2003. This dealership will do anything to make a buck, including refusing to cover parts and services obviously under warranty. After my most recent visit (my last), they kept my car for 3 days and `""didn`t have any rental cars available"". This was not a ne... view morew line either, every time before I`ve heard the same thing. Customer Care isn`t in their dictionary. Suffice to say I will not be taking my car there again, next time I`m going to try MB in Georgetown to see if they are any better. I wouldn`t recommend this place to my worst enemy and think they need to overhaul their ideas on customer service. Unfortunately, they`ve got the MB market covered,in Austin, but I`m staying away from them and heading to Georgetown. Basically, I bought a MB so I wouldn`t have to deal with issues like this and I`d have been better off at any other dealership.

Starmark Warranty
I purchased a 2000 e-320 and paid1250 for a Starmark warranty . First week of ownership had to return the car for work that should have been obvious with mechanical inspection. Under the Starmark warranty, MB of austin refused repairs. The gear shift stuck We took the car to dealer for warranty . Service advisor charged us $232 for evaluation and stated that we had spilled coke in the unit and we would have to bu... view morey a new unit for $900. Explanation was that by driving the car away there was proof that it worked and no warranty allowed. The car was repaired for $148 at another shop. minor adjustments were needed--no coke. (I lost $1250 while getting a substandard Mercedes. ) My 3rd MB. the only problems I have had are with MB of Austin.
