don`t take your eyes off your car
My car was vandalized and items stolen while they changed the oil. One employee even admitted that it ""probably"" happened. Management was non responsive and when I finally (months later) heard from them they denied it because I didn`t actually see it happen and couldn`t prove it. So - if you use them - DON`T TAKE YOUR EYES OFF YOUR CAR!

They pour the oil down the drain!!!
See the article in the 4/9/09 Statesman entitled ""Jiffy Lubes owner admits putting oil down the drain "" I`ll never use a Jiffy Lube again!

Was nervous because of other reviews, but great service on two different cars
As my headline says, I was uncertain about bringing my girlfriends car (and my own) here, but I needed work done on both of them before we went out of town and was running out of time. I decided to bring it and just keep an eye on everything as they were working on the vehicles. I worked with Cesar (sp?) and Wayne each on a different day; Both were professional and knowledgeable (I asked some leading questions and ... view moreknow a little bit about cars myself).

The oil changes are not cheap, but not out of line with the prices for businesses of their type. Yes, you can get cheaper oil changes - but they did some nice additional services that cost them nothing and do add to the total value. In my case they cleaned the exterior of all the vehicle windows and vacuumed the floors. In addition, I happened to have a new cabin air filter on my passenger seat that I intended to change the day before, and they did the replacement for free. My experience here made it worth the additional cost compared to other oil change businesses.

Overall I was very happy with the price (I used some coupons), the speed and efficiency of their work, and the interaction with the employees. I`ll be bringing my vehicles back next time I need maintenance done.

Worst bunch of liars, cheats, and racketeers I`ve ever dealt with.
I have been working on cars since I was 12 years old. I have paid for an oil change once in my life. It was at the Jiffy Lube on South Lamar and the price was unbelievably inflated.

The next time I went to change my oil in my garage, I spent 4 hours trying to get the drain plug off of the damn pan. Couldn`t do it, they overtorqued it to hell which is apparently a common problem with them, probably causing me ... view moreleaks, and I had to buy new wrenches after the attempt. Called Jiffy Lube up, spoke to Phillip. I told him the situation and that I had all the parts including a new pan plug and he said to bring my car in and that they`d take care of the oil change for me for free.

So I came in. Phillip wasn`t there. Explained the situation to 3 different morons. They refused to do the work for me and treated me like I didn`t know what an oil change was. I called the district manager, Mike...(512)659-6929...he wasn`t willing to hear me out at all. Kept asking me ""why should my men work for free?"" (They aren`t, they`re paid by the hour, right?) The way I see it, I already paid them for the labor the first time when they messed up my car. Long story short, they tried to make me pay for another oil change and now I`m stuck up a creek and probably have to do bolt surgery just to get the thing off.

Boycott the company please. Don`t make the same mistake I did.

While I was there, a little high-school girl came in saying that she needed an oil change and that the last time she came in she left with her skid plate hanging off the bottom of her car. They said they`d fix it for her after the change. While they pulled her car in the plate caught on something and ripped right off her car. She had no idea, but I saw the whole thing, including the paniced look on the manager`s face. God knows how much they screwed her over too, or the other millions of people who also go to their chain.

Boycott the company please. Don`t make the same mistake I did.

Nice but liars
Everyone I spoke with was very nice, but the manager lied right to my face. While trying to upsell my $20 oil change to an air filter+, he told me that a part (cabin air filter, they charged $50 for it) would cost the same everywhere, but it was less than half their price at Autozone. Of course, this was supposed to be a quick $20 oil change, and before I know it I`ve paid $100. I hate being lied to by mechanics!!... view more!!!!! I will not bring my car to Jiffy Lube again. Go local, it`s worth the extra money!

faulty oil change
Independent mechanic verified my starter broke because of leaky oil filter installed by Jiffy Lube. $368.00 bill unreimbursed by Jiffy Lube. Letter asking for reimbursement not even responded to.
