Awesome Customer Service!!
I`ve worked in Customer Service for about 10 years now, so needless to say, I am a stickler when it comes to it! lol Eagle Transmission Customer Service is wonderful. I have lived in Lewisville for a year now and had yet to find a mechanic until now. Ernie, the owner, made me feel like I had been coming to him for years.
Not only are the people welcoming, they also know what they are doing and won`t cheat you out ... view moreof anything just to make a few extra bucks. Embarrassing story but...I took my car to him after my boyfriend put in a new battery and my car still wouldn`t start or even light up for that matter. I had called around and told other mechanics what the situation was and they keept telling me I needed a new alternator. So I`m calling around and then get referred by a friedn to call Eagle Transmission. I ended up choosing ET because he stated it didn`t sound like the alternator and would look at it free of charge. Come to find out, my boyfriend is an idiot and forgot to take of a cap on the battery. ET still diagonosed my car and everything else was fine and I was free to go. I admire his honesty because I am sure there are other mechanics out there that wouldhave just taken off the cap and still have changed my alternator and I would have never knew otherwise.
Thanks Eagle!

Excellent company!
Great company!
Thank you, Eagle Transmission, for the excellent work recently done on my transmission. We have used Eagle Transmission several times in the past. This is the place to go. With this company you can rest assured that you will receive competent work. Our kids have old cars we were working on and Eagle Transmission was so nice in helping them by diagnosing and ordering parts.
They go the extra mile t... view moreo be helpful to adults and kids alike. We highly recommend Eagle Transmission and would`nt think of taking our cars anywhere else.

Honest, friendly, and competent
Eagle rebuilt my transmission last year, and I was so pleased with their work and the cost that I called them when my engine conked out to see if they could help. They helped me find a good used engine, arranged for its delivery, and got it installed in the space of six days. They even loaned me the shop van for most of that time. As far as I`m concerned, Eagle is the only place to take my cars. And I live in Pla... view moreno, twelve miles away. If I had to, I`d have my cars towed there before I`d let anyone else touch them.

Three times a charm!
I have now used Eagle for three repairs - the first, a clutch replacement on a 1985 Toyota pickup. An easy job, but a trial to see how they performed. Perfect! Quick, and very reasonable. The second was a rebuild on a 1990-ish Nissan Maxima with a very sick manual transmission - 1st would not stay in gear at all, and second was starting to jump out too. They gave me a very reasonable price, and did the repair in... view more a timely manner. We did have a secondary failure of a part that looked OK during the rebuild, but Mike and Eagle handled it with no questions asked and no additional charges. Most recently, we had a Mercedes E320 with a transmission that would just plain fail to move the car after 15 to 30 miles or so. The dealer was incompetent - their only suggestion was a full trans replacement for about $6000 (service? What`s that . . . we only sell parts, we don`t fix anything . . . ) and a number of other shops that told us $3500 or so, and didn`t offer any other path. Eagle told us that a check was no charge, and then depending on if they needed to get into it to finalize a diagnosis, that that would be $389 and we could stop there if too much $$$, or proceed with that sum credited towards the total. Completely reasonable to me, and exactly what we were looking for - give me a real number without a major commitment! Once apart, the mechanic went over the problem with me, and showed me the problems in the torn down trans (I do pretty much everything *but* trans work) to make sure that I understood what was up, and quoted the work at $2500 for a full rebuild with a 1 year 12K mile guarantee, just like in the past. From the OK, we were done in less than a week, and Mike wanted to keep the car an extra day to ensure that they had time to do a long enough test drive, since the initial problem was not immediate.
Absolutely nothing to fault here, and everything to praise! Honest, open, fairly priced, and timely!

Beware!
Total rip off. Charged $449 to tell me it would cost another $2300 to fix my transmission. Had the car towed to Abrams Transmission in Arlington and they rebuilt it for $1200.00. But before they could finish the rebuild they had to make another trip back to Eagle to pickup the torque converter they ""forgot"" to give back.
Also claimed to be giving me a ""corporate"" discount because the company I work for does so... view more much business with him. No one here has ever heard of them.
