This is the best auto repair s...
This is the best auto repair shop in North Dallas. I`ve been going to All Star for about 15 years. Robert and his staff have always been honest with me and as a female consumer, that`s very important. He always explains what`s needed, never over charges and several times didn`t even charge me for small items. He`s even stayed late to make sure our car was ready for the family vacation. I WOULD NEVER CONSIDER GOIN... view moreG BACK TO THE DEALER.

I`ve been doing business with ...
I`ve been doing business with Robert for over seven years. I am a professional buyer- C.P.M. Here`s the skinny: Robert will fix only what is needed to get your car back on the road if that is all you can afford. He installed a rebuilt transmission in my Jeep Grand Cherokee at less than half the price of what anyone else would have charged.

13+ Years of Great Service
I read the two existing reviews for this business and believe they must be talking about another shop entirely. I have used the services of All-Star Japanese Engine (specifically ROBERT and HIS TEAM) for 13 years and counting. He has serviced four different cars for me from the time they were purchased (used) until I replaced them. He and his staff have performed everything from routine maintenance to timing belt cha... view morenges to clutch replacements and more. EVERY time I have used Robert`s services, he and his team have been courteous, knowledgeable, fair and reasonably priced. On some occasions, he has not charged me at all for diagnosing a problem and has recommended an alternate low-cost fix I could do myself. Robert has been quick to fit me in whenever needed. I will not take my vehicles to any other service provider in Dallas because I am sold on the quality and knowledge provided at AllStar. I am 100% satisfied that ROBERT and HIS TEAM are the best there is to be had when it comes to the service and routine maintenance of Japanese cars.

Highly Recommend
I have been going to Robert and All Star for over 15 years. He has always provided me with a reasonable quote and stood by his prices. He is honest and professional, which are both very important in this type of industry. He even shows you the faulty parts and why they have to be replaced. I`m sure the dealerships would never consider that type of customer service.
I highly recommend All Star and will continue... view more to take both my Lexus and Mercedes to Robert instead of the dealership.

Very Dissapointed
I read the previous review and was amazed that I had almost the same experience; I had a problem with the driver`s door of my Acura TL, that the weather strip broke and they replaced the weather strip. When I picked up the car I noticed that the door and window were not closing right. I made a U turn and took it back. Robert (owner), who I thought was a stand up guy, after taking $192 (parts and labor) told me he ... view morewas trying to do me a favor and help me and this was the kind of work I needed to get done at a body shop. However he was not offering to reimburse the money he charged for labor on this repai. Instead, he was defensive and not take responsibility.

do not go here
I had about $1700 worth of work done by ROBERT here. One of the items needing to be fixed was a drivers side door handle. He replaced the item. The first day I recieved the car back the door handle broke off the 2nd time I used it. I was not using force or being rough with it. Just a simple lift and the thing split in two. That is not a big deal as sometimes these things happen. I called ROBERT and he just gav... view moree me the run around saying too bad and he would look in to it whenever. I asked what that ment. Did he mean a day, a week, a month? ROBERT raised his voice and yelled at me that I needed to "CHILL". All I wanted to know is when the product that I PAID FOR and he said had a 30 day warranty would be fixed. You may be thinking what is the big deal about a door handle. Have you ever tried to get into a car with out a drivers side door handle? Just think about it. Every single time you get in the car you must go around to the passenger side open that door, lean over, push the door open on the drivers side and hope the wind doesnt close it before you go back around. ROBERT is very unprofessional, does not live up to his warranty and I feel I over paid. I was refered by a friend to go to him. I will not make that mistake again. I RECOMMEND THAT ANYONE AND EVERYONE AVOID THIS SHOP.
