I have to say this is the worst place and people to deal with when buying a car I paid cash for my car all I had left to do was pick up tags and give them the tax tag and title when I came in to pick it up went to get tag about 2 weeks later but it had not come in yet drove until drive out tag was had to work so parked car and wasn`t worried about tag woke up and my car was missing call cps they tell me that it was ... view morerepo don`t know why the car is paid for only owe for tag which I was going to pay when I had time off to drive to the city. i looked at all of the reviews on here for scott and son`s and i am shocked at all the negative things that are being said about the company. i really have never had a problem with them other than having a hard time getting my title to the last car i purchased from them. i have purchased 2 cars from them (both cash) and have never had any problems with the cars (nothing major anyways). i want to get another car this ... view moreyear (cash) and was thinking about going back to them but after hearing the reviews i change my mind.

Beware do not purchase a vehicle from Scott & Sons. My husband and I purchased a car from Scott and Sons. They try to act very nice and professional so that they can get your DOWN PAYMENT! We paid our car note on time and sometimes early. We notified them that we were out of town on the day the payment was due and that we would come by when we got back in town (which was a few days later). The guy who works in front ... view moredesk (with the glasses) said that it was okay. The next morning I went to work, and when I came outside to go home my car was gone! They repossessed my car, with no phone call or nothing. We called them and asked why did they take the car when we told them that we were coming to pay, and if they were coming to take it, why did he say ?ˆ?okay?ˆ? when we told him that were coming up there. He immediately got defensive. True enough when it was all said and done, we missed the payment, it was our fault. Now let?ˆ™s move on. The next question was ?ˆ?How much do we need to pay you guys so we can get the car back??ˆ? We called every day for the next month asking how much we needed to bring to get the car back. They gave us the run around acting like they were trying to verify our insurance, telling us to call back between 4-5pm, telling us that they needed to contact the bank, etc. Finally they sent us a certified letter telling us to call and get the total amount to pay (which is what we had been doing the whole time!?ˆ? They were still giving us the same bull crap! Then eventually they told us that they were not going to give us the car back and that we could go take out a loan against our house and pay for the car in full. So they made us go through all of this with no intentions to give the car back. We told them that we were going to sue them and the guy with the glasses what like ?ˆ?Do you know how many times we have been sued? Trust me, you won?ˆ™t win!?ˆ? Then they told us that when we brought the key to the car to them, we could get our belongings out of the car. By this time it had been over a month, and when you purchase the car, they make you sign a paper saying that if your car is repossessed that you only have 30 days to claim your items. So we take the key up there, so that we can get our belongings out of the car, and guess what? Our stuff is nowhere to be found! STOLEN! They only want your down payment and are just waiting on you to miss 1 payment. Trust me, you will not see your car again. The guy with the glasses said that his customers are ?ˆ?bottom of the barrel?ˆ? and only come to them because they have bad credit. We came because we were buying a house and couldn?ˆ™t put anything on our credit. They are liars, deceivers, demons, and they treat their customers like crap. Now I fully understand that it?ˆ™s a business and they are only here to make money, but they don?ˆ™t treat their customers like humans. Matter of fact, he stated that ?ˆ?his customers are just account numbers?ˆ? They treat them like animals. S**t happens, people get behind on bills, family members pass away, etc! I?ˆ™m not saying let them skip a payment but have some mercy. If the payment is going to be a few days late, then what is the big deal? I have never heard of missing a payment by a few days and then your car is taken. Even the workers say that similar incidents happen every day and they treat customers like crap! **THEY ONLY WANT YOUR DOWNPAYMENT, AND WHEN YOU MISS A PAYMENT THEY TAKE YOUR CAR AND KEEP ALL OUR MONEY AND RESALE THE CAR OVER AND OVER AGAIN!** Also beware of positive comments about this company because the workers/owners get on here and pose as satisfied customers to make them look good. There is nothing good about this company! A part of me feels so sorry for all the workers and the owner because of what GOD is eventually going to do to them! The owner`s son is a &^%$#*( jerk..! Rude, unprofessional and a liar...! I had an accident in the car I was purchasing from them. Took the insurance check to them and they decide to keep it to make sure repairs were done..understandable...2 months later I asked if the balance could be applied to the amount I owe on the car...all of a sudden he don`t know if they received and cashed the check. I called the insuran... view morece company to get a copy of the cashed check...they will put it in the mail. I believe these people would have some blow joe on the corner cash the check...that is the integrity of these people. They are liars...liars...please do not buy anything from these people...run fast...even if they want to give you something...do not take it...!!! I am consulting a lawyer right now...I am sure I am gonna need one...!!!

SCAM ARTISTS!!! BUYERS BEWARE!!!

My husband and I went to this lot and purchased a vehicle always made ON TIME payments... EXCELLENT PAYMENT HISTORY... Car began having mechanical problems.... We notified owner of problems gave copies of repair reciepts.... After taking car to the mechanic again it was determined that we deterred payment by 12 days due to being unable to decide whether to go forward with repairs to total $1800+ or to just take the s... view moreame money and just get another car from this dealer... Well before we could even get there to ask them for options they came and repo the car!!! Not even as much as a phone call.... We immediately went prepared to make the full payment plus whatever else was needed.... We were told that since we missed the payment, we would not be able to get the original car back, but we could pay down on another vehicle........ We had already paid $3700.00.... Half way through paying for the vehicle.... DONT LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU.... BUYERS BEWARE!!!!
