Very honest people...
I have been having problems with my exhaust for quite a while, so I decided to take my vehicle to Uvalde Muffler. The reason I decided to go there is because I called 5 different locations and they gave me the best quote. I have to admit that the job they did was bettter than what I expected. They are very friendly and resolved my issue explaining to me in detail what had caused the problem of the exhaust to fall apa... view morert before. Anytime I have a problem with one of my vehicles, I will immediately take it to Uvalde Muffler for any repairs that is needed on my vehicle. Thanks Uvalde Muffler and you will be recommended to anybody that needs service in there vehicle.
Very satisfied customer and great prices too...

Beware!!!
Took my car for maintance & they did a horrible job. They left my car with problems that didnt exist before I dropped it off. I tried to talk to someone to fix the problem but I just got the run around. They did apologize & admit fault but did not offer to fix the problems, I ended up taking it to another mechanic & paid again for the same services they said they did. They have to many unexperienced people working th... view moreere.

Great Service.
In January 2010 I wanted to purchase a used car and I knew it had some front end problems. A friend told me about Uvalde Muffler and I called them. They not only did a free quote for the repairs on my car, but they did outstanding work on it and I have not had a problem since. I would suggest this company to anyone I know. They are friendly and professional.

Is there any such thing as an honest mechanic???
These guys changed my CV Axels for a fair price. The problem started when I left the shop. By the time I got home my power steering was acting up. I never had a problem with my power steering, but suddenly there was a leak at the manifold near the CV axel. When I went back the next morning and left my car again with them they said they would take care of it. Their solution was to top off my power steering fluid ... view moreand give me my car back. When I returned a 3rd time we looked at the leak together and the salesman claimed to have nothing to do with the problem. After I threatened to call the BBB and start a case they agreed to look at it again. This time I watched them, all it took was to tighten down the hydraulic tubing where it met the manifold with a few turns of a wrench and I had a working vehicle again after 20 minutes. I find it very suspicious that this fitting magically came loose while they were working on my car the first time. If you take your vehicle to this shop make sure you take lots of pictures under the hood to document it`s condition, if I had I would be calling a lawyer right now and sueing this shop for fraud.

Service and Quality has really declined
I have been a client of theirs since it opened back in the mid 80`s. Back then the owners did some of the work and would oversee the quality of work being done. Over the past several years I have had a number of issues with brake service that was defective. At first, i figured it was just a mistake. But, last year I had to bring my vehicle in four times for same brake issue before it was somewhat fixed. I just f... view moreound last week that the rotors were installed improperly and two screws on the front drivers side was missing. The only way they could be missing is for them not to be installed. Now I have to get new rotors all around due to them being warped. I had two different companies tell me the same thing. So, I figure it was warped.

I really hate to say this after being a loyal customer for almost thirty years. But, consider taking your business somewhere else. I have spoken with a number of others with similar problems.

Uvalde Muffler, if you are reading this. Take to heart that you really should consider taking more of a role what your employees are doing. They are costing you customers. Treat me right I tell two people. Treat me wrong I tell two hundred. I hate to take my business from you and keep customers away. But that is how it goes. Improve your work and I may return.
