excellent service!!
Excellent service! Got me in and out in 15 minutes both times I was there. One time for flat tire and second time for bulb fused out!! 100% satisfied customer! Never going back to the dealership!

Great Service
I?ˆ™ve done business with Rusk and team for close to 11 years. In that time I?ˆ™ve had 3 different vehicles ranging from very old (with 100,000 plus miles) to brand new, so I?ˆ™ve had all kinds of work done by him. Simple car inspections, oil changes, brakes, transmission work and just about everything else under the hood they provided services. I?ˆ™ve found Rusk to be honest with his work and competitive on pricing. I?ˆ™v... view moree recommended his shop to a number of friends and never had any complaints. No one likes to spend money on car repairs, but you can take comfort in knowing that Rusk will not do unnecessary work and his prices are fair.

REBUTTAL FROM MANAGEMENT
The management at River Oaks Goodyear responds to the critiques because it cares for its customers and reputation. With that said, in response to the below critique, it is important to clarify that Ms. Jackie left out some important details. The 1974 Chevy Nova that was towed in was a rust bucket when it arrived, it obstensibly didnt start. We had to replace the starter in order to get it started so we can diagnose ... view morethe remaning running issues the vehicle had. The work was completed on Feb 2, 2009, 17 months ago and not 14 months as the customer stated. In addition I was able to find a copy of the receipt of the purchased starter that day and also a copy of the credit we received for the ""core"" charge that was given to us when we returned her original faulty starter. Ms Jackie is welcome anytime to stop by and view the receipts. A good reputable shop provides a 12m 12k warranty on parts and labor. Either way the customer was out of warranty, but as we have done in the past we would of been able to work out an arrangement in this situation and even cover the towing only if the customer would of called us prior to having a another mechanic replace the starter that we installed, wasnt working almost 1 and 1/2 years later. We do this because we understand the nature of parts. In regards to the rear axle, our technician informed the customer that it was loose as he proceed to show her on the vehicle the day she picked it up. In addition, the demographic of town that we work in makes it difficult to understand that we would take advantage of female customers, the majority of our long time customers are females.

BEWARE! Ask for old replaced parts!!!
These guys came reccommended by a friend of the manager. I took my car there and spent a lot of money on major repairs. Fourteen month and ONE THOUSAND MILES later I had to replace a part that upon visual inspection appears not to have been replaced and seems to have been on the car for a long, long time. When I showed it to Rusk, he told me that he does not charge for work not done and tried to walk off with the ... view morepart. My suggestion to anyone is to inspect the work and ask for their replaced parts, or find a REPUTABLE auto repair shop. These guys can NEVER do any work for me again. They told me that my rear end was loose and that I needed a new one. I went to another shop and they tightened it and did not charge me. The rear end was not loose when I took it in. Someone could have been hurt or killed!!! The mechanic attempted to take advantage of a female customer. I do not recommend these guys to anyone!
What ya got to say to critique that... Rusk?

High Recommendation
I have been doing business with River Oaks Goodyear for almost 18 years now; and I have only good things to say about my experiences there. I refer all of my friends, family and business associates to them. So that should be "" `nuff said!"" When you find a mechanic you believe to be honest and trustworthy, you should hang on to them.
They always give me a call with an estimate before doing any repairs to my v... view moreehicles. And there are no surprises. If there are temporary and/or alternate less expensive remedies those options are always presented as well.
The only thing I don`t like is that darn light/telephone pole in their parking lot. I was in a big hurry one drowsy morning and I backed into that pole full blast causing around $2,000 worth of damage to my truck. Now, when I go to pick up my vehicle, they always have it backed in so all I have to do is head straight out, and not be concerned about backing up. This is another BIG plus. Sometimes, just the little things mean a lot.
Like for example if I need them to drop me by my office they are always willing to do so; and if I`m in a hurry, they will do routine service for me while I wait.
What else can I say? It has been a great 18 years and I`m looking forward to 18 more (at least.)

response to customer critque from management
From the management of River Oaks Tire and Auto. In response to the below critique of our establishment we would like to clarify that the customer misunderstood the extent of the repairs to his vehicle The diagnosis pertained to a total of 3 repairs for two different issues. The estimate of $300.00 included replacement of the oxygen sensor for the 1st issue which was for the check engine light, it also included repla... view morecement of the pcv hose assembly, which was for the 2nd issue involving a rough idle and intermittent stalling. In addition to these repairs we recommended a fuel induction service to help the rough idle. All these repairs constituted the $300 estimate, not just the pcv hose part for ""$20.00"" part and labor as the customer stated. The ownership has been the same since 1991, we take pride in our work, we are a neighboorhood auto repair facility and been serving hundreds of satisfied customers for close to 2 decades.

Dishonest Rip-off Artist!
Needed a specific part and was quoted $138 dollars plus labor totaling almost $300 dollars! Went somewhere else and got the same part for $20 dollars and $20 dollars labor totaling $40 dollars!
Wow! $300 versus $40?????!!!! I know times are tough for everybody but this is unbelievable! I guess since the place is in River Oaks they are taking advantage of it! Buyers Beware!!!!!!!

Just Plain Honest Service
I`m very happy with the service I got from River Oaks Auto Shop. My front tire had a slow leak and they fixed it at NO CHARGE! They said it was a small repair, but it was a big releif to me because I am pretty low on cash these days, as we all are, I`m sure. My car is going to need some brake work done in a couple of weeks and I have no qualms about taking it, and my hard earned money, to River Oaks Auto Shop. I`m re... view moreally happy I found this place.

Quick, affordable, what else can I say?
They did some minor work on my car early this week, they were great. The attention was good, reapired the car in minutes and a very low price.

This Place is GREAT!
Not only did River Oaks Tire & Auto fix my car quickly, and correctly the first time; they did it at a THIRD of the price of the dealership! Great customer service, too. I will be back!
