I would like to say thank yo...
I would like to say thank you to the employee`s at Scotts Automotive. I had my transmission replace/repaired a few months back. The work was fast and the truck ran like new.
Then my truck began shifting between 4th and 5th. I couldnt figure it out. I called and they said to bring it back. They got me in and had their mechanics take a look at it. It turns out it was a brake switch.
Now, I`m a pretty good back... view moreyard mechanic. But I never would`ve thought it would be the brake switch. They said it was rare, but they would replace it and let me drive it for a few days to check to see if it fixed it. They told me that if it didnt to bring it back and they would not charge me for the switch.
Turns out they were right. My truck runs good as new again. Stand up buisness with stand up employees doing above and beyond work!
Great job guys, You`ll have my all my auto repair buisness from now on and I will recommend you to anyone else who asks.

No warranty
Recently while traveling through your town, my senior citizen mother had car trouble. AAA advised her to have her car towed to Scotts Automotive. The people at Scotts were very helpful and even transported her to a hotel. She needed extensive transmission repairs which took three days to complete. Upon completion she was told by a technician that they would honor their warranty even though she was leaving the sta... view morete. (We reside in Kansas).
With less than 5000 miles put on the rebuilt transmission, it has failed again in the same manner. A local shop has advised that the same repairs will need to be performed. When I contact Scott?ˆ™s to ask how they would cover the cost, I was told basically too bad, they would not warranty the work they performed.
I am sorry that this has happened, up to this point my mother has raved about Forney and the people there. At how well she had been treated, but it is clear now, that Scotts realized that this was an older lady that was not aware of what repairs were and were not completed. They used substandard parts and merely did enough work to get the car out of state. It is appalling that this company which spoke highly of itself while she was there is completely unwilling to make this right. It is my personal recommendation to the citizens of Forney, that you select another shop when you are in need of auto repairs, this one can only be trusted as far as you can drive!
