Not Worth the Risk
I visited the Alta Mere Window Tint location on Alta Mere Drive in Fort Worth on July 19, 2010. I was referred by a good friend who is in the car business. I needed the old tint cleaned off of the front two windows of my 2001 Toyota Sequoia, and new tint installed. After waiting quite some time, I was told that my driver`s side window did not roll down. I was quite surprised, as the window had operated properly j... view moreust moments before, at a drive through on my way to Alta Mere. The manager gave me my keys and pulled my car around to the front. The old tint had been cleaned off of the passenger window, but the driver`s side was partially peeled and all sticky. They were just going to let me leave with it like that. My husband was out of town, so I called him. He talked to the manager on the phone, and told him that if this is the way he does business, we will not be able to use them or recommend them. The manager hung up the phone, got VERY upset with me, and told me to leave. Alta Mere had broken my window, and I was being treated as if my husband and I had done something wrong by getting upset. After being distraught to the point of tears, they finally agreed to at least finish cleaning the driver`s side window so I could safely see to drive home. When my husband returned home, he disassembled to door panel to inspect the damage. It turned out that one of the mounting tabs that attaches the window to the motor assembly had broken off. After doing much research, we discovered that the only way to fix this was to replace the entire window. We contacted the manager, and he agreed to purchase the glass if we could install it ourselves. We told him we would try fixing the tab first, (we didn`t want to scrap the window because it had the VIN etched in it) and we would call him if it didn`t work. A few weeks later, the tab indeed failed. We called to arrange for him to get us a new piece of glass. He told us that he decided it had been too long, business was too slow, and he wasn`t going to fix it. The car is for sale, the reason we wanted to fix the tint in the first place. We cannot wait to have the window fixed. Today I spent $160 on a replacement window, 2x the amount I was supposed to pay for tint....and the windows still are not tinted! We may be forced to take this issue to small claims court to get it resolved. Fortunately my husband is very good with cars, and was able to survey the damage and complete the labor himself. Otherwise, the bill would have been significantly higher at the dealership. In closing, this place may do good tint work, I never got a chance to find out. Unfortunately, the risk of something breaking does exist in this business, and Alta Mere will leave you to pay for repairs.

Alta Mere Window Tint
Alta Mere Window Tint was by far the WORST experience I have ever had with cars and even business overall. I had my windows tinted on my truck and when i went to pick it up i noticed that the rear window was horrible looking because the tint was so poorly cut. I looked at it closer and realized a huge chunk missing from the window frame ( I have an avalanche so the rear window can be removed) i immediately called the... view morem and told them i was very upset and the first thing they said was "are you talking about the crack in the rear window frame?) I took it back and they lied to my face and said that it was already like that before!!! Rick Vasquez works there and is probably the most worthless person I have ever talked to...they refused to replace it or even give me a refund. He said that I should just take him to court very sarcastically. Please do not go there. So much for customer satisfaction...
