Worst Service in a long time

We`ve used Pit Pros for at least five years and when I recently needed an inspection, they told me that I needed to replace a hose and quoted me about $300. They said they were wrong and it ended up costing over $400 and the check engine light still didn`t go off. They told us to drive 100 miles for it to reset. We did, still had the light on. They then told us to drive 200 miles to reset the light. Nothing. There we... view morere two weeks of ice and bad weather before we could come back and they told us we waited too long. Then they reran their analysis and quoted another $200 in unspecified repairs to be within compliance for a state inspection and we`d have to re-pay the $40 fee since we`d exceeded an unknown 15 day limit. I have never had car trouble, keep it maintained and surely do not need over $600 in repairs. They just lost two customers and any referrals from us. They should have told us up front what repairs were needed instead of continuing to find $200 repairs (that would always end up douple that) to make whenever we weren`t driving 200 + miles to reset the car`s internal computer.

Beware with this shop!

This place was very disappointing; the owner wanted to charge more than $1000 for parts and labor that I didn`t need. He had an extremely dismissive attitude and tried to take advantage of the situation. I decided to go to a new mechanic after that, and the only problem that I ended up having was a vacuum leak that was fixed for less than $30. One word... AWESOME!

I`m from out of town and just happen to break down a block away from these guys. My handy dandy little iPhone app found them for me. They reassured me that it wasn`t a problem to fix, but they had to get the part. They were able to order and pickup the part needed (which was their main concern) and get it fixed by the end of their business day. Great price! Great service! Just AWESOME people.

Honest - Honest - Honest

A common theme of other reviews and of mine. These guys are honest. I have lived in small towns for most of my 50+ years and never have I encountered a company that is more honest. Add to that the level of accommodation given to me so that I am not inconvenienced and the incredibly fair prices and you can tell I am a customer for life. I have even sent my family members and friends there; and will continue to do so.

Great customer service and honest auto repair service

They are very honest in their estimations of both price and the work needed in the car. In fact, once on my visit to them to get a second opinion on a carburettor change (a suggestion made by another mechanic using a water dripping trick), they saved me about $400 by pointing out that there was nothing wrong with it. Honest Mechanic

I just want to say I wish i lived in Dallas so i could use this automotive shop, I was travelling through Texas and my car broke down. Excellent, honest, fair auto repair shop

I have used Pit Pros for repairs, oil changes, and a/c problems on two family autos and three company vehicles for the past 3 years. They have always been honest, fair in their pricing (much cheaper than the dealers), and knowledgeable. I am not associated with the owners or employees -- or in any other way -- with the company... Superb service and honest too!

Yesterday afternoon, I was having problems with my power steering and I went to Pit Pros on Inwood Road. I was concerned because I had no idea what the problems was and I had gone to two other mechanics prior who left me thinking that this was going to be extremely costly. I pulled into the shop and was greeted right away and I told them about the problem that I was having with my steering. I also needed a oil chan... view morege and asked if they could service my car as well. After about 30 minutes, the mechanic pulled my car around and I was charged for the oil change and that was all. I asked why there was a problem with the power steering and I was told, ""Oh, just a loose hose."" I was not charged for the extra service. It was refreshing to go to a mechanic shop that has such integrity and honesty. I am a customer for life!

More expensive than dealer

Was charged more than dealer price for a simple part. I inquired about the cost of another service, but they refused to give an estimate until I came in with the car the next day when the part came in. Also overheard another customer being told that they knew what the problem was, but would not tell the customer because the customer was going to take his car to another mechanic.
