Super honest

The guys at Advanced were awesome! I went to get a diagnostic done (which is super expensive) and the guys figured out the problem in half the time so only charged me half for the diagnostic! Then they filled up my oil for free and advised me of 2 more major problems that could pop up. No hidden costs, no talking me into more repairs, and excellent advice.

Excellent Customer Service & Honesty

I chosed Advanced Auto based on the excellent online reviews I found. I`ve only lived in Austin 6 weeks and am always apprehensive about finding a good, honest, knowledgeable auto shop with good pricing. I seemed to be having an issue with tire balancing, but for all I knew the cause could have been something more expensive - all I knew was my car was shaking a lot and replacing a front tire didn`t fix the problem. T... view morehe people at Advanced were very courteous - they listened to all the info I gave them patiently and while I waited for the technician to finish up a couple of things before he could look at my car, the gentleman at the front desk made sure I knew they had not forgotten about me. I watched t.v., sat in their comfortable and cool lobby and read magazines (which, may I add, the selection included more than just typical guy magazines - they had tons of Martha Stewart Living, etc., ha ha!). When the tech came out to inform me the only issue was one bad tire, and showed me the problem with it, he then went to see if they had a used one. When they didn`t, he gave me the price on a new replacement and also a recommendation to a nearby used tire dealer they work with. NO CHARGE FOR LOOKING AT MY CAR! I thanked them, went to the used tire shop (nearby Olmeda`s - quick, courteous service also), got a used tire put on for $32.00 total and no more shaking!! Advanced could have charged me for higher services that may or may not have fixed my problem, but their honesty and fairness will certainly have me going back when I do have a problem they can fix!

Friendly, honest, no-pressure auto shop.

First thing I noticed was the large, clean, modern waiting room, with a computer and huge LCD TV for the customers. Not essential, but an extra mile I appreciate them going.

The most important thing to me was that they quoted me a price over the phone and that was exactly what I paid in the end. Never once tried to pressure me into spending more-- they did print up a list of things that COULD be done and an es... view moretimate in case I wanted to address them at a later point, but they didn`t try to convince me to do them now or that it`d be unsafe to drive unless I got them fixed asap. They even drove me to work and came back to get me so I could get my tires changed without having to take a day off!

These guys are friendly, genuine, and will remember you when you come back. They exceeded my expectations in all areas, including price-- no, they aren`t the cheapest in town and they`ll readily admit that (though they did happen to have the best price in my area for the tires I wanted), but they`re far from the most expensive, and I don`t mind paying a middle-of-the-road price for top-of-the-line service. All in all, a pleasure to do business with, and highly recommended.

Above and Beyond Service

I stopped in for an oil change and was welcomed with a clean environment and very professional service. Did work that we did not authorize

My husband brought our car in for brakes and tires. We were quoted a price and told that we had an oil leak and they would repair that as well, we said okay. When we went to pick up the car, we were told that it was not actually an oil leak, it was something else (the guy said he was thinking of the other repair but said we had an oil leak...?) Advanced Automotive -- The BEST auto service at resonable and fair prices for over 20 years.

Our family has been doing business with Advanced Automotive for 20 years; and yes, AAuto has been in business for more years than that. How could an independent Auto shop, like these guys, be in business for over 20 years and still have great business and the same customers coming back again and again? Yay!!!

These guys are really honest! I initially took my car to a different mechanic and he told me that it would cost nearly $1,000 to fix my car. I was shocked and I didn`t know what to do. I called several other mechanics (based on citysearch reviews) and Advanced Automotive gave me the lowest estimate. They only charged me $250 and they fixed my car very quickly. Sigh of Relief!

I agree--highly possible you will leave with a smile on your face. Or at least laughing from one of Eddie`s jokes.

I was very pleased by my experience at Advanced Automotive today. They gave me (by far) the cheapest estimate on my power steering hose replacement and told me to go ahead and come in. They fixed my car (power steering and some extras) quickly, while I waited. The waiting area is large and very c... view morelean; they even offer free internet, which let me get some work done. My payment wasn`t a cent above their estimate.

I will surely be going back for any other auto needs I have. Friendly, helpful staff; quick and affordable service. Best experience I`ve had in a while. Thanks!!
