best and friendliest service
Just want to say that Chris is the man, got my car in, looked at and got me a quote within hours of my car having issues. Although they were slammed, he made good on his promise to have an answer as quick as possible. I will always bring my car to Aamco in round rock! Good people. Thank you!

AAMCO Round Rock- Brakes
I took my 2008 Corolla to AAMCO to have my brakes checked out at the Round Rock location. i spoke with Chris about my brakes and it wasn`t long before they look at my car. Chris later explained what was wrong and decied to have the work done. He answered my question so that i could understand what was wrong, thats a good thing being a female. The customer service was great, brakes are now fine and they even gave me ... view morea ride home.

Round Rock AAMCO
I was having transmission issues with my Cheverolet 1500, and contacted AAMCO to have it checked out.. I spoke with Chris at the Round Rock location and he informed me that they would do a free diagnostic, to see exactly what the issue was. Unfortunately it needed a complete rebuild (which I figured it would), but the process to rebuild was explained fully to me by Chris. In addition, the warranty and all thefinance ... view moreoptions were also explained. I do like that after ten days, they asked me to bring my truck back in to make sure the transmission was working properly. The pros are excellent customer service, very fast repair, and the various options they offer to help pay for major repairs.

Un Happy Customer
I highly advise any reader NOT to bring your car here for Transmission work. I paid this guy over 2000.00 dollars for A rebuilt transmission and it shifts worse than when I Brought it to him. The Customer Service is awful, very poor communication and the type of guy that you just want to choke to death. I would never let this guy touch any of my cars again!! His work is Shoddy at best and is totally untrustworthy.

Not BBB certified! Would not go back.
They claim to BBB accredited with them, and show decals and even on their business card that they are with BBB.
Check before you go!
VERY disappointed in them.

Honest, Friendly, Quality
I recently brought my son`s 2001 Isuzu Trooper with 127,000 miles in to have a slight slipping problem checked out. The manager was friendly and courtious and told me he would perform a no cost diagnosis. I was worried that my son might have driven too long with this problem, so I was preparing for the worst. Once the diagnostics were completed, I was told that the transmissions accumulator was leaking (I was info... view morermed that it was a common problem on this type of transmission) and the total repair would cost under $200. The manager explained that the slipping was caused by a low fluid condition due to the leak and since it was caught early, no damage was done. You can imagine how relieved I was to hear that! Thanks again AAMCO for your honesty and commitment to provide quality automotive repairs.

Caution is advised
I usually do all of my own car repair - been doing so for over 40 years. I`d advise caution in using this service supplier. In my recent visit, all I required was to have a couple of bolts rethreaded where the transmission pan bolted to the transmission of my 1997 Chrysler mini-van and the tranmission filled with fluid.
Problem 1 - Chrysler requires a specific transmission fluid to be used in this transmission... view more (ATF+4) and the web is alive with reports of problems that arise from using some of the more common transmission fluids. So I requested that the correct fluid be used, per the manufacturers specifications. This request was met with some obvious skepticisim and they had none of this available. To their credit, they agreed to obtain and use the fluid I requested. Had I not insisted, or even known about the requirement, they clearly would have used a fluid not recommended by the manufacturer and which has been linked to transmission problems in this vehicle.
Problem 2 - came in their actual filling of the transmission. In a failed attempt to create a gasket for the transmission pan, it leaked after the pan was bolted to the transmission. This was discovered during the filling process and they captured the leaking fluid in a bucket. They then repaired the gasket problem and started to pour the recovered fluid into the transmission, contaminants from flowing over the broken gasket and all. Clearly this was not a proper repair process since proper practice dictates assuring clean, non-contaminated fluid is used in filling the transmission. Fortunately I was there and caught it before any of the fluid was actually put back into the transmission. I insisted that new fluid be used. While they protested that the bucket was clean, again to their credit, they did discard the old fluid and use new bottles. Had I not been there, however, they would have reused the fluid.
