Expensive and Incompetent
Go in with Kia with less than 30K that needed rear brake pads, get estimate of over $700 for everything but the kitchen sink. Brake job alone was quoted at over $300+tax---then quoted at $215+tax, then $228 +tax then $268 +tax. They kept changing the price on the same phone call. They want $99 for 1 set of brake pads which is 65% above retail ($60).
Service manager had diagnostic fee tacked on despite owner tellin... view moreg me there`s no fee If I had the work done there. I had to argue with the guy for 15 minutes to get it removed from the estimate.
Owner spits out typical BS that he has ASE trained techs. Big whoop---they passed a papercomputer test. Certainly is no justification for such a high markup. KIA dealership quoted me $200+tax. And guess what, your ASE certified techs didn`t spot that the right rear caliper was sticking----You told me that the wear indicators were making that noise but those pads had no wear indicators. The noise was from one side of the pad dragging the brakes. Makes me wonder if they even pulled the wheels off. Wonder when CBA was going to tell me about the bum caliper? hmmmmm
In the end, I got my car serviced for 1/2 the cost and in 1/2 the time. The owner did waive the diagnostic fee which they probably should have since they did not spot the bad caliper.

Kansas Bound
My son was recently in the Austin area, when his car broke down before returning home.
The professionalism that Tom and his staff demonstrated over the phone, miles away, was greatly appreciated. They gave me a fair quote and the car was fixed as promised. They had to patiently wait on us, to retrieve the car. The work was excellent, I only wish I had they in my town!

Very Trustworthy
I have always be skeptical when I need work done on our cars and scared to go to anyone other than a large auto dealership.
However, we have had great service with this Christian Brothers and is the ONLY place I would even consider taking any of the 4 vehicles we have.
Super friendly.

My experience at Christian Brother Auto
They`re very expensive, but they`re honest and do great work. I will more than likely take my car there again.
