Carl Owens Auto Collision Center has been in its current location on Hwy 64 E. since 2006.? However, Carl Owens has been in the collision repair business sine 1965.? Carl Owens, Sr. began his business working on large commercial vehicles in his back yard in 1965.? As the business grew, he found it necessary to relocate to a business location on East Erwin St.? His fine repairs and great rapport with his customers eventually led them to bring their personal vehicles in for repairs as well.? Because the personal vehicles require a different type of skill and expertise, it became necessary to add a separate shop just to accommodate this new area of the business. At the current location for the Auto Collision Center, we have 2 body shops with approximately 30,000 square feet of work space.? We have two Car-O-Liner frame machines that use the world???????ˆ??¬???ˆ???s most advanced measuring system ???????ˆ??¬???‚¬?“ Car-O-Tronic Vision.? With this system, we are able to straighten your vehicle`s frame to manufacturer specifications. We use a CR500 Spot Welder that enables us to create manufacturer quality welds as we repair your vehicle.? Our refinish shop has three Garmat down-draft heated paint booths and paint mixing room as well as our own PPG paint mixing station.? With this mixing station, we are able to mix as little as an ounce of paint matched to any possible color, calculated exactly by a high-powered computer and camera system.? .
