In a word --- HONEST.

I bought a 1991 Chevrolet Pickup and while replacing the u-joints and rear transmission seal I noticed that the catalytic converter was resting on the cross-member. Of course it is supposed to be positioned between the cross-member and undercarriage. I could see that someone had done some exhaust system work on the vehicle and thought that it had been installed incorrectly. Flanagan`s put it on the lift and the techn... view moreician and I stood under the vehicle and I pointed out my concerns. His evaluation was that it was a problem with the transmission mount rather than an improperly installed exhaust system. So I purchased and installed a new transmission mount and sure enough that solved the problem. The old one had blown out (worn rubber) and had compressed to where the metal sleeve around the mount was resting on the cross-member instead of the rubber. I also asked Flanagan`s about the catalytic converter -- specifically how would I not if it was worn out. The technician explained exactly what symptoms to watch for and if they surfaced, it would mean it was time to replace the converter. So I drove in and drove out without spending a dime. This business knows how to treat their customers and has the integrity to tell their customers when exhaust work is not necessary. They have my loyalty for life and when I really do need exhaust system work, I`ll go back to them.
