Fantastic first experience with Pep Boys in Madison. I went there looking for tires as the tread on 2 was about dead and a 3rd had some gashing/coiling exposed - I am somewhat obsessed with safety and wanted these replaced PRONTO. Rich, one of the manager`s was quick to sort my requests, offering to "beat" anyone in town`s prices. After a small amount of comparison shopping, he did in fact beat a competitor... view more`s price. What I appreciate the most is that they didn`t even attempt to downplay my requests or my negotiation skills simply because I`m female. They gave me exactly what I wanted, in a very timely manner, with high level professionalism. We even made a deal on an oil change that I was going to need shortly. Great experience - oh, and my rebate on the tires actually DID arrive in the expected time frame (rarity there if you`ve ever dealt with mail-in rebates). I`d return if needed. Thanks, fellas.

GREAT SERVICE!!!!

I love my Pep Boys in Madison,TN. I always find what I need thanks to the employees! It`s so refreshing going to a store and then employees actually know what they are talking about!!! Richard Colley I believe is one of the managers. Let me just tell you, he is awesome! He`s always helping out at the service counter when I come in. RIP OFF!

My wife and I broke down near Madison, TN on the interstate. The wrecker driver just happened to know of a place to tow us. It ended up being Pepboys. I had seen the occassional commercial, so we thought what the heck. MAN, talk about a rip off. We asked for enough repairs to get it back to our hometown. It seems water from a leaking hose was spraying on the ""timing belt gasket cover"". So, after it was over I had a... view morell new belts put on, a thermo$tat, an oil change... everything but the tires rotated. Total cost of repairs: $1,495.82. I took the complete register receipt and all the parts replaced to my mechanic at home. It seemed they did use about $100 in parts, but the remaining totaled about $500 more that what they should have been. I called the corporate and they referred me back to Madison, who referred me back to corporate, who then, well... you get the picture. My last conversation was with Richard, the local manager.. ""You are not going to get a refund.""
I know we have no choice of where we break down, but even if someone local reads this and heeds the warning, I hope they do not go there for car repairs!

SCAMMERS, IDIOTS, STAY AWAY

they are a scam. drove car there after they check it car wouldn`t move had to tow it to another mechanics. save ur money and time. car runs good.. they said something else would have went wrong right away if i didn`t fix it and been driving car for six month in and out of state with no problem.

Stay Away!!!!!

I have never in the 17 years that I have owned cars had as awful an experience as I have at this Pep Boys. They tried to over charge me, tacked on extended warranty and only when I reviewed the charges did I see it. The intial toal was $562.00 after reviewing the bill the new total was $403.00 big difference. The customer service was seriously lacking, I was left on hold, disconnected at one point. Told they ordered ... view morethe wrong part and the right one was conviently $40 more. They are the typical shady auto mechanic. What a nightmare experience!!!!! I wouldn`t even give it one star. Avoid at ALL costs.
