AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE! This place is now known as CAROTHER`S AUTO REPAIR AND SERVICE. Has also done business as Ted`s Auto Repair,Ted`s Auto Service, etc., etc.... These people have had my van for over ONE MONTH! Told me I needed a part rebuilt which would only take 2 weeks. Turns out it went to their "parts distributor" and sat there for 2 weeks, He shipped to a place in PA. now nobody knows what happened ... view moreto it. Said this part is so old they don`t make them anymore It is part of my computer system. Yesterday. I found tons of them online...so frustrating. Reported to BBB this morning.

I try to do all the work I can...

I try to do all the work I can on my own car, but every now & then there is work that has to be done that I don`t have the tools or know how to accomplish. I`ve been to quite a few shops in the Franklin & South Nashville area. Thus far Ted`s Auto has been my best experience. I`mnot saying anything negative about anyone, but I will say this... when I walked into Ted`s shop I was greeted and felt instantly comf... view moreortable. The young man at the front counter was pleasant, and walked me out to the shop so I could discuss the details of running problem with a mechanic. Also,on the matter of the mechanics, they were very friendly and welcomed my questions, which to me is good sign, cause I`ve been to some other shops that flat out refused to talk to me about my problem, and didn`t want to hearanything I had to say about it. Anyway, once I had talked to them they pulled my car in and started checking it out. The guy at the front gave me a ride home,and an hour later he called me back with an estimate. Ted gave me options on what parts he recommended using to repair my car and gave me a time frame for when it would be finished. The next day I got a call, my car was ready. When I got there I was shocked. Not only was my car ready early, but it was 112.00 less than what they had originally quoted me! I`ve been to a few shops like I said before, but I can`t really remember that ever happening before. I laughed and cut up with them for a bit, paid my bill, and drove away a happy man. Thats honesty for you.
