DO NOT GO TO CANADA`S
I recently decided to take a vehicle to Canada`s after I purchased it as a project. It was an older vehicle that had been sitting a while, but it ran, just pretty rough. I am not mechanically inclined, but I wanted to take on this project as a do-it-yourself thing on the weekends, so I drove it over there and asked them to take a look at the vehicle and make a list of the things that need to be addressed or fixed. ... view more That way I could look up how to fix them, and take care of it myself, and save a buck, or I would have them fix something that looked too daunting.
They seemed to understand, took my keys and phone number and told me they`d call once they got to it - probably the following day. The next day-- nothing. So I called and asked what the status was and they said it would be another day before they got to it. The next day, nothing, again. I called again and got the same answer. This went on for over a week. They finally called and said my car was ready.
I went over and they said they went through it and fixed some things and it was now in driving condition (which it already was, kinda) and that I owed them $750.00 for the work and parts. I didn`t authorize nor sign anything saying they could do the work to the car, they just did it. I didn`t want them to do anything, just look at it and tell me what needed fixing, but they didn`t do that. They performed unauthorized work to my car and overcharged for what they did.
I paid for it, out of embarrassment... there were 3 or 4 employees standing there as the mechanic told me what he did to fix it, but I am very upset about it. I don`t know what to do, but I will NOT recommend them to anyone, nor will I ever use them again.
NEVER.
