Farrar tire is the only place I will ever go for my car needs. I recently had several repairs done there. My bill came to just over $1000. I had the following done(yes, I was a bad boy on maintenance): Oil change, new oil pan gasket, Sway bars replaced on the front end, replacement of all motor mounts, and I needed a new catalytic converter. The initial complaint was a popping when steering at low speeds(Sway Bars), ... view morelost about 6 qts of oil since January, a "metal bobbling" sound when driving(motor mounts), and finally a very LOUD rattle when idling(catalytic converter). An older gentleman named Glenn too care of my yellow Suzuki Aerio SX. He spent half the day taking care of everything and I was done. On my way home, the dreaded Check Engine light came on. As I was driving home, the car seemed to get a little rougher and starter to shake while in drive, but not in reverse. I went back to the shop after I did a few other things, and Glenn looked at it again. He told me that the engine seemed to have a good bit of play with the new motor mounts and asked me to bring it back another time for him to fix. I brought it back on my next day off, and Glenn took the car in back. I feared I was in for another large bill. When Glenn gave me my car back almost 3 hours later, he told me that he had to get the engine seated JUST RIGHT to stop the vibrations in drive. He used no parts. I was expecting to have to at least pay labor, but to my surprise, THERE WAS NO CHARGE FOR THIS 3 HOUR VISIT!!! Glenn, and Farrar tire, stand behind what they do, and they now have a customer for life. As a side note, the shop advisor, Jeff, has an excellent attitude and demeanor. As I was waiting for my car to be finished, I heard him interact with numerous customers and he was always respectful to everyone. Never once did I hear him try to force someone into an extra service. He was brutally honest with everyone, even telling one customer that his shop lacked a tool to reprogram a sensor that the dealer should have, but the sensor looked good and did not need to be replaced. That customer also left with no charge for checking the problem out. As for payment options, I know the reason they only take cash for bills under $20 is due to the processing fees charged by the credit card comapnies which would eat any profits easily. Everyone here is great, and there`s some good food nearby!!!(Ol` Dad`s BBQ) I will ALWAYS return here for future needs.
