Shoud be renamed Ripoff Service Tire Co.
This is actually for the 5602 Kingston Pike location, but may apply to this location too according to the other reviews. They totally price gouge on labor, parts- you aren`t allowed to bring your own, and any other ridiculous things they can squeeze into your bill. You will definitely pay double on any work compared to other shops. If time is more important than your money, they can get to you quickly because their m... view moreoney conscious customers have gone elsewhere.
Personally they also suggested replacement of a part with expensive labor that had just been replaced. Another shop verified that it didnt need replacing and was working properly. Extremely incompetent and overpriced.

Five Stars To Me!!!
Don`t understand some of the negative reviews on this board. I have always had good and, at times, excellent services at this location ever since they moved to the Farragut location. Service managers are knowledgeable and always took time to explain mechanical problems. They have backed up their service commitment and warranty for me. Never felt like I was being pressured for additional repair. Best place to go in F... view morearragut. Would suggest speak to Andrew Mitchell, service manager, if you have an issue. Andrew has always been very fair.

free service tire co
They are the worst on serice. Buy tires and you get o service I went in for my free rotation and balance was told it would be 1 1/2 hours I came back in 2 1/2 hours and they had not even taken my car back. This happens every time I will never buy tires there again. They brake my lug nuts and won`t replace

A combination of incompitence and dishonesty.
Stay away!!!!
The mechanics there do not know anything about cars. They attempted to diagnose the problem and fix our car tree times before they ruined it completely. It was kind of astonishing and we could not figure out if they showed more ignorance or negligence. The management (Mr. Mitchell and others) demonstrated incredible creativity in trying to blame the damage on us. They also made several inappropriate ... view morestatements regarding woman`s place in the society indicative of a mentality of caveman.

Home of the alignment ripoffs
Bad experience!!!!!! Bought tires 4 months ago 80,000 mile took it in for my first 10,000 mile tire rotation, and told i need an alignment and all 4 new tires replaced, First off, I had an alignment on my new car when I had the tires put on there, then they say 4 months later my tires are bad and need an alignment again??????? Hmm something wrong with that picture. They run a alignment check and say they recommend an... view more alignment 4 times a year. I didn`t have my receipt with me that day and they said it had been over six months to be able to have warranty. I get home and look at the receipt, and it hadn`t been six months. I call and speak to someone that tells me that the warranty is only valid 6,000 miles and i went over. They state they will not to do a tire rotation since the tires are bad and needs alignment. This is a poor excuse not to at least compensate a free alignment. Personally, I don`t think the service tech performed an alignment in the first place.

Horrible experience
I have two cars in the family. Both very good brands, both require HP or UHP tires.
I took first one to Farragut location to get set of tires. Price was decent but I paid more because they recommended a tire alignment although the car was relatively new.
I was suspicious about this but I went with it.
Then we took another car to get tires.
As soon as the car was taken on the road it show a serious wobble. We... view more realized that they forgotten to balance the tires.
Then wobble persisted. They told us that car has to be aligned (this one was even newer car).
We checked with dealership and they told us that tires were bad. We asked them to replace tires.
They replaced tires but the wobble was still on.
So, they recommended us to buy more expensive tires which we finally did.
Then I tool my car for a tire rotation. They wanted to all kinds of services including alignment (?!, after I done one just few months ago). They also told me that tires are wearing too early due to the lack of rotation although this was my first rotation.
After I took the car from the shop it felt all messed up. It was noisy, grinding and sounded wobbly.
I took the car back but they were not helpful at all. They were trying to convince me that I have something wrong, so I had to just leave the store. They were very unhelpful.
I will now have to go to the dealrship and independent tire dealer to have this fixed up, so my tires will end up costing me double.

Will tell you every possible thing they can sell you.
I told Johnny, the service manager, that my Toyota needed a tune-up. I told him it was skipping and suggested new spark plugs. An hour later he had a huge list of ""suggestions"" that added up to $739.00! Yes, my car is older, and I`m sure all these things would make it run like new, but I can`t afford anything but to keep it running. If he had replaced the spark plugs and suggested all the others, I would trust... view more them much more. I think they would tell you anything needed replacing/fixing just to sell it to you, rather than just helping you fix what you asked for!

Very untrustworthy on suggested services while you are getting tires rotated and balanced
They told me my brake pads were in very bad shape and were almost metal to metal. I thanked them, and said I would changed them when I got home. I stopped and bought the brake shoes on the way home. When I took the rear brake shoes off I discovered over half of the brake pad was left on the shoe! When I brought them in and confronted them about it, I was told by manager Mike Hammond that is how they measure them, if... view more the pad is the same size as the metal shoe on the opposing side, they tell people they are 95 or 100 percent used even though half the pad is still left! I found an article online that said you can wait until they are 2mm thick to change them out which totally contradicts them.
A very sad world we live in when people do stuff like this, and when caught try to tell you that is correct. It does not take a rocket scientist to figure out when your brake pad is half worn they don`t need changed.
I wonder how many people they have taken advantage of that did not know any better.
So in summary, Free Service Tire measures brake pads in doggie years. If your pad is actually phyiscally 50 percent worn, it is 90 percent in Free service tire worness.

Should Be Poor Service Tire
I can not stand this company, they are some of the biggest jerks you will find. I purchased a set of Michelin tires for my truck, I had problems soon as I left the business. I lost most of the wheel weights within a few miles, I took it back to the shop, they claimed that none had fallen off, but I showed them, there was nothing else they could say. They balanced the wheels again, and again the weight fell off, I j... view moreust decided to wait before going back to deal with these jerks. The main problem I have is what I found within two days of the this shop balancing my wheels, the person that put my wheels back on did not torque my wheels, I almost lost a wheel off my truck. I call the main office, they acted like I was lying, the whole company is a bunch of jerks who could care less how poor of a job they do and how many people they do wrong.
I have never had a service company treat me as badly as this company, they should learn how to treat people.

Ben is very helpful, trustworthy, and reliable...
Bought a set of tires by phone for my son, a student at UT for very good ""on-the-road"" price. Three weeks later my son scraped a barrier in a construction zone leaving for home for the holidays. After having the truck towed to Free Service Tire, they correctly evaluated a damaged tie rod, cut tire, and brake pads that gotten down to metal and gouged rotors on the truck. Their work was completed in less than half a... view more day, with a crosstown trip to the Cooper Tire warehouse to get a matching tire at no additional charge. Once repaired, I was given a phone update on the final findings and work done. Vehicle was safely made road-worthy for a very fair price for quality work. The service advisor, Ben, is very helpful, trustworthy, and reliable.
