NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH ANY OF ...
NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH ANY OF THE MATHIS TIRE STORES...A few months ago I took my 2010 Honda Pilot in to Mathis Tire. I asked how much it would cost to have by brakes done. I said I wanted to use Honda Genuine parts and the manager who has been fired since then told me I could go down the street and buy them at the Honda dealer, or they would go down the street and get them. I went and bought them, brought them back ... view moreand they had ABC Brake Mobile turn my rotors then they changed out the brake pads. By the way, the mechanic that worked on my car was fired too. Anyways my front end shakes real bad when you touch the brakes over 50 miles and hour, and getting worse. Not too long after I had it done, I took it back to this location. They informed me I had no warranty because I brought my own brake pads. The former manager didn`t tell me if I went down the street and bought them myself they would not give me a warranty. I was never told that either. They never once disclosed it. I called the main store on Park ave in Memphis and the sales manager refused to help me and so did the female assistant manager. It was not until I filed a complaint with Goodyear did they offer anything. The female manager said to bring it in and they would repair it. I told her later I didn`t feel comfortable bringing it back to them and that I wanted Honda to fix it right and they could pay Honda. She said no. I always asked to speak to Mr. Mathis. They have REFUSED every time to tell him or have him contact me. Then later on I get a phone call from the store manager at the main store on Park Ave. His name is Curtis. He almost had me talked into letting them repair it until I was told by him that he only went and bought Honda brake pads for the front, and rotors for the front, not back. Now, they knew I only wanted Honda parts also. They went to a parts store and bought sub standard rotors not recommended by Honda. I then told Curtis I wanted Honda parts for all four wheels and I wanted the Honda dealer to do the work, and he REFUSED. I would have had used pads on the back with Honda rotors and new Honda pads and sub standard CarQuest auto parts store rotors on the front. My car is now shaking so bad when I touch the brakes, I will have to park it until it is fixed. Honda does not recommend you turn the rotors a second time. I have since then done research and found a lot of victims of Mathis that I can use for witnesses
