I cannot convey the skepticism that I have always had towards "traditional" at dealers. Lets face it, their reputations have been horrible. Remember Bill Heard? Furthermore, as a former employee of Carmax for almost 4yrs, I was used to the easy way of buying a "certified" car.

He made the process more simple than when I bought a car from Carmax. One word on Carmax for a moment: they are NOT the best deal in town and their cleanliness and "certified" quality is marginal, from my experience. Anyway, we bought an Odyssey sight unseen, and I wouldn`t hesitate to buy again. Greg has 24yr experience and it shows. I got the best deal on any low mile CPO 2011 Odyssey EXL RES following a nationwide search (Carmax, cars.com, etc). I didn`t have to haggle. I`m thrilled to say I was wrong, Ol` DW is the way to go for a Honda & Greg Schmidt should be your salesman.

Not honest; Worst experience at a car dealership
I had a similar experience here. These guys tried to pull a not so fast ""fast one"" on me. After informing them of the car I wanted and the price I wanted to pay they assured me that would work. So we moved on to trade value. THREE hours into the entire process, they were trying to get me to sign papers WITHOUT a concrete trade value named or price on the car (this is with me asking them THREE different times). The... view morey told me we would go over those in the financing office. Red flags all over the place, but I played along trying to give them the benefit of the doubt. After entering the financing office the finance administrator says ""congratulations"" I said ""whoa, I have not agreed to buy anything, I haven`t even been given numbers"". That`s when he acts surprised and gets the numbers for me. The numbers end up being fofor a car with extras I didn`t want at FULL MSRP, plus the price they were giving me for trade was nearly $1,200 lower than the actual conservative trade in value (did my homework and tried to let them know that). Needless to say it was shady all aroiund - not sure if they saw a girl and just thought easy bait or what. I walked aut without a car and would never go back to this place.

DO NOT GO THERE
At first, I was very impressed with their service department. However, since that time I have discovered that they have lied to me at least twice about "necessary" repairs to my car. The most recent was last week when I was told that a certain part needed to be replaced that my car DOES NOT EVEN HAVE. I filed a complaint with the Volvo Corporation and they confirmed that my car does not have the part that t... view morehe service department told me needed to be replaced. Prior to this incident I was told that a sway bar was COMPLETELY broken and could affect the stability of my car. While out of town, I got this looked at and was shown the actual sway bar which was NOT broken at all. I will never go back and warn everyone to stay away from this place.

Terrible Experience
Purchased "certified" used car from them. Worst experience dealing with a dealership in my life!! The first week we had the car the transmission seized and had to be replaced so they kept it for three and half weeks while we paid our first payment without even driving the vehicle!!! After weeks of being transferred to different "supervisors" and complaining that they still had my car and I was paying payments on some... view morething that was not in my possession they finally sent me a check for the first payment. Went to finally pick it up and the car had hail damage on it that happened on their lot! The mechanic that put the transmission in did not tighten the hose back and we almost lost another transmission!! The axle broke a year later. We had tremendous amounts of problems with this car and I would not ever do business with them again!!!

I would highly recommend NOT purchasing a car from this dealer. They were not honest and were not at all trying to make you the best deal. I worked on a deal for over 3 hours, walked away and then had the sales person call me back to say we had made a deal based upon specific criteria I had set forth. They had me come back in the following day to wait again for an hour for the financial manager to show up to then mak... view moree a different deal and were not honest enough to honor the deal made originally. They low-balled my trade, initally offering over $3000 less than the quoted Kelly Blue Book trade-in value for a car of lesser caliber than mine. Buyer beware. They also made me feel like my business was not worthwhile, when in fact I was treated MUCH nicer and given a great deal 1 1/2 years earlier up the street at Gary Force Acura, who I would HIHGLY recommend.

Excellent Customer Service
I live 30 miles away from Darrell Waltrip and they gave me a loaner car for 2 days. I have an old car and was not able to find the gas cap release on the 2008 car they gave me so I could refill the 1/4 tank of gas I used. When I asked where it was located so I could go back to the station, they said "don`t worry about it". I showed them how much gas I used and they still declined my offer to reimburse them with cash ... view moretwice. I also received a followup call to ask if I was satisfied with the service and repair. I recommend Darrell Waltrip.
