First, let me start off by saying that I loved my first nissan 2003 xterra so much that I knew I wanted to get another one. Because there is no Nissan dealership in my town (closest one is in Grand Junction...over 100 miles away from my house), I bought a plane ticket from aspen to Denver to purchase another x-terra in Denver. I have always paid for maintenence on my car and repairing any wear and tear...im happy t... view moreo do that. That being said, my 2007 xterra has a faulty fuel sending unit plug that has started to melt, which can cause a fire to start in my gas tank or cause my car to break down. This is not a wear and tear item, it is a manufacturer?ˆ™s defect. Because it was not a recalled part, nissan says I?ˆ™m fully responsible. Makes me sick to my stomach that they will not take responsibility for this. I can?ˆ™t afford to repair it, so hopefully my car won?ˆ™t catch fire while I?ˆ™m driving it. Nissan corporate office employees?ˆ¦you are heartless and only care about the bottom line?ˆ¦not the safety and well being of your customers.
