I went to the American Tire th...
I went to the American Tire this morning that is located near the intersection of Old Hickory and Nolensville Pike to have a leaking valve stem replaced on my niece`s Ford Mustang. When Brian told me the car was ready after a very short wait, he also told me there would be no charge. I did give him 2 dollars for the technician that worked on the car. I will recommend this shop to everyone I know for this act of ki... view morendness and good friendly service. By the way, this American Tire Shop can be reached at 615-831-2167. They also provide many othe services besides those related to tires.

Avoid this place!!
After dropping my wife`s car off for a simple oil change, I was called and informed by the service manager Kenny that the rear struts were ""falling apart and leaking really bad"" and needed to be replaced immediately to the tune of $600. I didnt buy this ""story"" as there had been no indication of a strut issue or any sign of any leaking at all so I declined the service. Good thing I did.
I took the car to a... view morenother shop who promptly put the car up on the racks for an inspection and told me the struts were in good shape and not leaking at all.
Needless to say, I will NEVER EVER step foot in this establishment again.

Used to Be Good, Now Worst ever
I had been using this shop for over 9 years. Seemed like ever time I took my car here they would get things fixed quick and correct. Istarted having doubts about the shop about a year ago, when I had a clutch and slave replaced on my honda civic. It seems a little high priced, but they had done me good in the past. It wasn`t a few months and my car was having problems again. I took here and they replaced the dis... view moretributor. It seemed that every time I take it to this shop they want to do a min. of $1000 work.
Now only 1.5 years after I replaced my clutch with them and only 9000 miles they say it is bad again. and $1183 to fix it. After telling them they put it in, their response was that it was not under warranty. There was no mileage written on the original repair so they could not verify that it was the correct mileage. After a heated discussion I left and found another place that was recommenned to me. They spent 15 minutes looking at my car and said it was the master clinder. They repaired it for 200 bucks and took 3 hours.
I would never take anything back to this American Tire Shop. After think back on my experiences there, I think they have been taking me to the cleaners for a couple of years now.
