I have taken several vehicles ...

I have taken several vehicles to him on many occasions. Unlike the other reviewer, I`ve never felt like I was getting ripped off. In fact, not only has Autohaus always done a good job fixing our cars, vans, and trucks, they`ve declined probably 3 opportunities to make unnecessary repairs or "upsell" what was actually needed...telling us that there was no repair needed. Very disappointing

I had used this shop a few years back and had a good experience, so when I had trouble recently I tried them again. The gentleman diagnosed my problem as a broken timing belt, said the engine was trashed, and offered to put in a used engine for $2500. When I declined, he offered to accept the car as payment for the diagnostic bill. When I declined, he offered $200 for the car. I declined this as well and towed the ca... view morer home. On the advice of a mechanic friend, I installed a timing belt myself. Even though I had never done this before, it only took about 3 hours and $35 to accomplish it - and the car immediately started and runs like it never had a problem. I`ve been driving it a hundred miles a day for over a month now. The gentleman would not refund my $70 diagnostic fee. I feel like he tried to steal my car so he could resell it.
