When you enter in to this business you will see old BBB plaques on the walls and a few testimonies on how good the service is from customers. Also a few old Automotive certifications plaques. All mint to impress you on how good they are. And they are very nice talking people. When I wal... view morek in Mr. Owen was talking to a sales man and telling him how he always did people right?ˆ¦?ˆ¦. Mmmm The shop is kept clean and nice.
First let me say:
Owen Alignment is not BBB Accredited at the time of this Review.
(Businesses are under no obligation to seek BBB accreditation, and some businesses are not accredited because they have not sought BBB accreditation.
To be accredited by BBB, a business must apply for accreditation and BBB must determine that the business meets BBB accreditation standards, which include a commitment to make a good faith effort to resolve any consumer complaints. Now let me tell you:
I call Owen Alignment for an appointment to have my 2006 Mercedes SLK350 wheels aligned. (10:00am the next day) I was quoted $59.99 for 2 wheel alignment and $79.99 for 4 wheel alignment.
Mr. Owens ask me what kind of trouble I was having. I told him that I was having inside wear on all 4 tires and that was all. He said Ok. The mechanic took it for a test drive and came back and said not a thing about what he had found wrong. Then Mr. Owen went back in to the grange to talk to the mechanic I suppose. Then came back to me and ask was it pulling to the left or right, are vibrating? I said no. He said OK they would correct it. After about an hour the work was done. He said it was off just a little but they fixed it. They didn?ˆ™t test drive after the fix.
After leaving the shop I noticed it pulling to the right, so I took itback to the shop. Told Mr. Owen about it and it wasn?ˆ™t doing that when I brought it in. He told me they had adjusted all the adjustment it had to adjust. And instead of double checking the problem to make sure it was adjust right He commenced telling me how the wheel adjustments are made and how some cars had more adjustments than others and extra things could be done to make it track right (of course at a price) good faith effort to resolve So it comes down to I would have to pay him more to straighten out what he screwed up. I ask about their warranty he told me it was 90 days I just don?ˆ™t know on what. I told him now I would have to take it to Mercedes to get it straighten out. As I went out the door he told me to let him know what they said and did. This was his answer to resolving this problem.
After I left notice I was charged $89.99 for a 4 wheel alignment No parts were used. What happen to that $79.99 quote ????? (Maybe it cost more to disagree)
These people will tell you that they can do things they are really not qualified for. Use them at your on risk?ˆ¦?ˆ¦. And good luck?ˆ¦.
