NEVER GO TO DOBBS FORD!!!!
I wanted to lease a new car, My husband and I spent two days and about 7 hours test diving new cars and finally chose the Ford Explorer. After hours of keeping me waiting in his office a salesman named Hayne fed me line after line about how he doesn`t work for Ford but works for me, to get me the best deal. The true stereotypical car salesman, after finally agreeing on a price, mainly beca... view moreuse I wanted to get out of there, upon signing they now changed the price, with the "there was nothing i could do" speech from Hayne...they were hoping I would be forced to agree, simply because they wore me down. Do they really think the smart consumer would fall for this? I then went to Lander Ford where we met Jason..What a difference, a man you could trust and a dealership you wanted to give your business to, not because you had to but because you wanted to! He was gracious, and trustworthy and bent over backward to accommodate us, even brought in the owner to meet us. Well needless to say, I walked out with a beautiful brand new Explorer XLT with all bells and whistles I could ask for! GO TO LANDERS FORD AND ASK FOR JASON ADAMS!!

Don`t Ever Go To Dobbs Ford! T...
Don`t Ever Go To Dobbs Ford! They are Liars and Crooks!
A few years ago I went to Dobbs Ford to purchase a used car. I knew my credit was good as I had just purchased a home and knew my credit score. I had about $2,000 on me but I had called up to Dobbs Ford ahead of time and confirmed they had a car similar to the one I was looking for. I went there and the salesman and I spoke and he informed me that after pull... view moreing my credit it would be $1,000 down. I asked why as my credit was good. He couldn`t tell me and stated the finance manager mandated it.
So after finishing the application we spoke some more and I happened to mention that at least I had $1,000 more left on me. He went to the back and stayed back there around 30 minutes and came back and stated "oh, well the finance company has stated they need you to put $2,000 down. (I later found out this was a LIE from the finance company and that they were completely unaware of a down payment and the finance company told me the down payment went directly to the dealership).
So I put the $2000 down. I had taken off work and simply wanted the deal to be done. Then it was time for me to meet with the finance manager. The lies really began at this point I would later come to find. He informed me he had tried and tried to find a deal for me and the best deal he could find had a sky high interest rate. I couldn`t understand why I would get such a high interest rate at the time as I had good credit and he informed me he saw a late credit card payment which had happened years earlier. One payment. Which justified the high interest. Like a fool I took it. Later I would find that the actual interest rate I was paying to the finance company was much, much lower. 9 percentage points lower in fact in the single digits. The finance company people were so trained that I had to repeatedly ask different associates to even find one who would tell me what my interest rate was.
Yet on my contract it showed my interest rate being in the high double digits. At this point I was steamed and knew I had been taken. Dobbs Ford does business in a very unethical and deviant way. The lied to me repeatedly throughout the process to extract extra money from me.
I would suggest to everyone to please avoid this company UNLESS you have financing through your bank or credit union. That way they can`t take you. However, I wouldn`t do business with those crooks at all.

Please do not buy from this dealership. They only care about the bottom line. The game they play is to ignore your issues, hoping you will go away. Service after the sales is the worst in my life. AutoNation is the parent company. They are in support of ripping customers off. The warranty is a joke. If you value your hard earned money stay a way for DOBBS. Do Not buy from DOBBS.

Terrible customer service when I dropped off my truck to get my window fixed. Told numerous prices and then after they lowered the price they added a mysterious $20 "miscellaneous" fee!! What a bunch of crooks. They have definitely lost my business for life.

Very good service dept. I just moved here and needed a dealer. I tried one of their competitors and wasn`t impressed. I took my car there and they were very friendly and helpful. You can notice the difference quickly between dealers. They work hard to take care of you. I would recommend them to anyone needing repairs!

November 2010 I purchased the ...
Service rip-off.
November 2010 I purchased the 4-year oil change / tire rotation option when I bought my used 2004 Grand Marquis from Dobbs Ford and Lincoln at Wolfchase, 7925 Highway 64, Memphis TN 38133. Dobbs Ford and Lincoln at Wolfchase is the only service center I?ˆ™ve taken it to since its purchase.
Knowing how tire pressure can impact handling and fuel economy, about every two weeks in the summer I put a pre... view moressure gauge on my vehicle tires. Less than two weeks prior to bringing the Grand Marquis to Dobbs Ford on 19 July 2011 for the routine oil change my tires were 32-34 pounds in each, including the spare.
Four days after the oil change service at Dobbs Ford and Lincoln at Wolfchase I checked my air pressure. The front left had 45psi and the right front had 12-14 psi. I took the low right front tire in to a service station where they did not find a leak at 35psi. The service tech increased it to 50psi where there was still no loss of air pressure.
Someone deliberately over-inflated the left front tire and deflated the right front tire. The only service center/garage/mechanics/service technicians to touch my vehicle were those employed at Dobbs Ford and Lincoln at Wolfchase.
Draw your own conclusions.
Increasing the left front pressure and decreasing the right front pressure will cause a vehicle to pull to the right, which are symptomatic of a vehicle requiring front end repair. Driving at highway speeds in this condition increases the risk of losing vehicle control if a pothole or road debris is encountered.
I stopped by Dobbs Ford and Lincoln at Wolfchase and cancelled my extended service agreement. General Sales Manager Jamie and Used Sales Manager Darnell have both been made aware of this unscrupulous act. Based on their responses I will never use that Ford dealership or service center again, and am encouraging others to stay away. A complaint to the Better Business Bureau is on file. Another letter to The Ford Corporation.
What a lousy way to run a business.

poor service
Just moved here two years ago and didn`t need a Ford dealer until now, so took my 2007 Mustang in to nearest dealer (Dobbs) for AC issues and airbag light being on. They could not diagnose the AC problem and therefore never fixed it (even though they did confirm that the problem exists). They had my car for 24 hours and did not fix either issue. Will have to drive farther and use a different dealer. I would think t... view morehat, based in Memphis, they would be experts in air conditioning!.

The Best Ford Dealer In The Mid South
Everyone at Dobbs is very friendly and they bend over backwards to make sure you are happy. They don`t try to rip you off when you buy a car and they want you to be very happy with your purchase. I also have my car serviced there and the service department is very professional.
