K-1 Auto Glass was recommended...

K-1 Auto Glass was recommended to us by the company that does all our repairs on our Mercedes and we trusted that a new windshield would be installed correctly. Boy, were we ever wrong. They came out to our home to install the new windshield and we thought that everything was good to go. First thing that we discovered was that they had cut the antenna wire to our sirrus radio when they cut the factory installed se... view moreal of the old windshield, so we had no radio reception of any kind. In addition, there was alot of wind noise coming in around the windshield. A couple of days later, they met me to fix it again, this time telling me that there were a few shards of glass that they did not get out of the channel that the windshield sits in. They also attempted to fix the antenna wire that they cut, but they used blue painters tap to wrap up the wires. At least the radio worked, but it was not repaired correctly, so it would break in and out at times. Driving home, I discovered that the wind noise was still there. My Mercedes is so air tight that any tiny bit of wind noise is very noticible. Next day we took it to the K-! Auto Glass Shop and they kept my car overnight so that they could take the windshield totally out again and put it back in correctly. The owner was goind to drive the car afterwards to make sure that it was fixed. He did not drive the car afterwards and guess what...still wind noise. Then the owner met my husband and they drove the car down the interstate while the owner of K-1 use an instrument to tell exactly where the wind was coming in thru the windshield. He then said that it was coming in around the molding and did something to fix the molding. Still did not work. Then he came down to the body shop where the bumper of the car was being worked on. Again, he worked on the molding and put some of the trusty blue painters tape on the molding and told our body man to leave it on there for a few days, which he did. Picked up my car yesterday and guess what...the wind noise is now worse than it was before the last fix. Today we contacted another auto glass company and they informed us that they have had to redo several windshields that K-1 Auto Glass has installed because they evidently do not know what they are doing. We have been working on this windshield for a month now and hopefully, tomorrow we will finally get the windshield installed correctly by this new company and there will not be any wind noise. DO NOT USE K-1 AUTO GLASS TO REPAIR OR INSTALL AND WINDSHIELD IN YOUR CAR. IF YOU DO, YOU ARE ASKING FOR TROUBLE.

GREAT SERVICE!

The employees at K1 auto glass were one of the most professional groups of individuals I have dealt with in my years. The were on time and very prompt, not to mention they had a very low price for the new back glass i needed in my Tahoe. I recommend them to the fullest extent of any auto glass searching needs!

GREAT SERVICE, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

I had a crack in my windshield not too long before Thanksgiving and I just had to get it fixed. I found them in yellow pages and called to get a free estimate. I called around a lot and they had the LOWEST price out there. a great price of $159.99!! The other windshield companies in the area charged over $250.00!! Beware

I had my windshield replaced there through an insurance claim and they don`t stand behind their work. I requested original equipment in my Ford, a Carlite/Ford replacement. After the old windshield was broken out of my vehicle, out popped the replacement of an off brand, not original equipment. I called Allstate and K-1 before the glass was put in and the ""owner"" told me that the windshield being installed was j... view moreust as good and it came with a ""life-time"" warranty. I made the mistake of allowing the glass to be put in my vehicle; it took longer for the technician to rip out the old glass, than it took to install the replacement. About 6 weeks later, I noticed a lead (crack) coming from under the seal on the passenger pillar (side of the glass) and the foam gasket, which surrounds the edge, was bunched up below the crack. I called K-1 and the ""owner"" told me that the warranty only covered wind and water leaks and I would have to call the manufacturer to see about it being replaced. NOT GOOD BUSINESS! I took it elsewhere to have a new windshield installed, they cover workmanship AND stress related breakage.

this place is just bad

took vehicle in with a chip and had it replaced. after leaving i could hear air coming thru my windshield. i called and was told i had to wait 48 hrs for it to set. so i waited. of course air was still coming through. i then called and asked if they would come to my work and fix it (2 miles away) since they installed it wrong and i couldn`t take any more time off work and they said they would. well they never show up... view more. so icalled back again and was told they wouldn`t come fix it but to bring it in anytime. so by now this is miserable. i take the vehicle in and i am told that the dealership i bought the car from would have to set a appointment because they paid the invoice. and the reason was ""he didn`t like the way i was talking to him"" i was mad and had every right to be. i took my vehicle to another place and had them fix it. this place does crap work and will not stand behind it.
