I called to ask what services were provided and get a price quote, Mystique told me everything they do to detail and said that basically, the only thing they don`t do is the undercarriage. For my 4-door car the price quote was $174- decent price for a professional detailing job. I couldn`t get an appointment until 9 days later, on a Thursday, but I made an appointment then went & dropped my car off from 8am to 4p... view morem. When I picked my car up, it looked like the only thing they actually did do well, was steam clean under the hood. They shook my floor mats out & vacuumed them, took an air hose and blew all the dust and everything around inside the car and put armor-all on my seats. I paid the $174 prior to seeing the vehicle (my bad), so I went back inside and politely expressed my dissatisfaction. The Owner was the only person in the building, as he told me that he had to send all his workers home because they were on overtime. Apparently, he had over 22 cars from dealerships going in and out of his shop that day and things had been busy all week. He immediately recognized and agreed that my car was definitely not detailed, so he got his spray bottle and a towel to remove the dust that was still on my dash, the sand still in my seats and the juice still on my console. by 5:15pm I was tired of helping clean my car, as I had just paid him to do it, and I asked if it would be better for him if I just left my car for him to finish the next day. He said no, that he had another 17 cars coming in and that he wouldn`t get to it and that he was sorry, but he can`t make a used car look perfect. I told him that I didn?ˆ™t expect perfect but I showed him that the back window had not been cleaned and neither had the carpeting/upholstery below the back window, I also showed him that the headliner (The main reason I took my car to be detailed) had not been touched, the vents were still dusty and it was painfully obvious that only the floor mats had been vacuumed--the rest of the car was certainly not clean. I told him that those were the reasons I had paid to have my car professionally detailed and when I called to make sure my expectations would be met, I made an appointment because I was assured they would be. He did indicate that those tasks were generally completed as part of the detailing service, then he mentioned again just how busy he was. I told him it was fine, that I understood how it can be when business gets busy, but I still paid for the service and wanted it done. He said that that was not an excuse but that if I really needed to, I should take it home and make a list of the things I noticed weren`t done, then bring it back the next week. I said okay, and asked him what day and time I needed to come back. (Since it took me 9 days to get an appointment, I can`t imagine that I`ll just be able to drop by and ask them to do the work I paid them to do.) He told me that any day except Monday would work. For $174 a pop, I would expect that when a customer expresses dissatisfaction and the business owner can clearly see a valid reason for that dissatisfaction, that the business owner would try to make it right with the customer somehow...At least offer to actually do the job. -This business owner definitely did not do that, nor did he offer any of my money back; his only offer, was to have me make a list. He also told me that he used to be very particular about his cars too but that now-a-days, he just vacuums them and drives them and that it should be fine as long as you can drive it?ˆ¦. If that were the case for everyone, he?ˆ™d be out of the job, so I sincerely hope he was just trying to downplay the situation. Color Mystique is definitely not the place to go if you want what you paid for.
