Reviews:

I was referred to Pierre?ˆ™s Body Shop by my insurance company. I read many positive reviews for this business and scheduled an appointment. They appeared to be very helpful, scheduling for a rental car pick up and arranging for my vehicle to come in rather quickly. Being responsible for a portion of the rental car fee myself, they assured me that the repairs would be done in a timely fashion. Seven days later I recei... view moreved my first phone call for the business. There were apparently some problems with the tail light replacement and a new one was being ordered. I picked up my vehicle the next day. I drove my vehicle home and took to assessing the repairs that were done. I noticed buckling in the rear bumper first. Upon farther examination it seemed obvious that the entire rear bumper was warped in the center. Very frustrated, I returned to the shop the next day. I spoke to a man at the counter who seemed very unsurprised to see me. He attempted to explain to me that the bumper possibly warped due to the paint curing process. He then attempted to tell me that this is simply the hazard of the trade with plastic parts, and that I could bring it in at my earliest convenience so that they could attempt to anchor the bumper down. This sounded suspicious to me. I am not a genius on auto body repair but I felt like they had just told me that they intended to ?ˆ?ghetto rig?ˆ? the bumper of my 25,000 dollar car. I left the shop feeling defeated. I took my car to someone I knew who had worked in the auto body repair industry for several years. This is unfortunately where the plot thickens. He assessed my vehicle and pointed out that not only was the bumper warped, but the tail light they had replaced was chipped and there were scuff marks around the tail light as well. I had an aftermarket tint done on my tail lights several months prior, and it was pointed out to me that there were gouge marks in the tint on the previously undamaged tail lights. He insisted on calling the body shop himself, to point out these issues. I took my car back the next week, requesting to speak to whoever was in charge. The owner then came out to speak with me and look at my car. I once again got the talk about how since my vehicle has plastic parts, the warping was inevitable. He then told me that he knew the tail light was chipped and already had a new one ordered. I asked for the tail light as I had intentions of taking it to have it tinted that weekend. He said he would locate it and then call me. I did not hear from him for three weeks. I finally got the call this morning to bring my car in. I filled out some paperwork and went to the parking lot to load myself and my child into the loaner vehicle I had insisted they provide me free of charge. At that point the owner came outside. He approached me and said that upon further review of my paperwork he realized that he had already put on a new tail light, and that there was never one ordered or any intention to repair the chipped tail light replacement. He then proceeded to accuse me of having been responsible for the chip in the tail light, saying that it must have been done when I attempted to have the new tail light re-tinted. I tried to point out, logically, that if that were the case, then the tail light would be tinted. He continued to insist that I was responsible for the chip. I stated as honestly as possible in my state of frustration and anger that the tail light had not been touched, not by me and not by anyone else. I returned home and immediately got on the phone with my insurance company. I am really hoping that they will handle it from here, but I have a sour feeling that this horrible car repair saga is far from over. How this business is voted one of Sioux Falls?ˆ™ local best is beyond me, I have never been treated so horribly in my life.
