ive had better car experiences
I went in for my second car purchase from Baker as my last experience was very positive - I really liked working with them last time. I had a pretty good idea of what I was looking for and told the salesman this. The salesman was very helpful and really made me feel comfortable. I was also introduced to another sales manager and a finance agent who were also very helpful and flexible when it came to price. Again,... view more they made me feel very comfortable and showed me some great deals on cars. I found a few cars I would certainly consider and told them I would be back to make a purchase the next day. The next day, when I came in, I was referred to another sales manager. This young guy totally turned me off from buying a car from Baker. He was worse than the generic everyday sales representatives from Hendrick Chevrolet and the likes. The whole reason why I enjoyed my experience last time was because I really felt as though Baker was there to help me and find me the right car, not steer me toward a way to drain the maximum out of my budget. He wasn`t listening to me and kept trying to sell me cars well out of my price range. I wasn`t even getting one on one help - I felt like my sale didn`t really matter until the other sales agents from the previous night came over to talk with me. On top of it, I went in with a short list of cars the sales agents helped me select the previous day. I asked the sales manager to test drive them, but it took me over an hour just to take a test drive in the car at the top of my list (as it was being test driven already but how long does it take to test drive one car?) I probably would have bought the car had it not been for this sales manager who was so pushy. I wish I could have just ignored this guy and bought the car I liked, but by the time I was finished test driving, I was ready to leave just so I wouldn`t have to spend anymore time with this sales manager period.
