Reviews:
MANY positive experiences. Going for oil change today.
The problem with Citysearch is that no one wants to write a review unless they have a very positive or a very negative experience. This makes it a very poor resource for someone trying to find the best place for a service.
I`m motivated to write because there were very negative reviews of a different location for Tire Kingdom, while the opposite reviews should apply to this location.
I have been a repeat custo... view moremer at Tire Kingdom on South Blvd for 5 years. First, I just got oil changed regularly. Things were fine.
3 years ago, I bought a used car for $4,700 which appeared to need some brake work. I brought it to the dealer for an inspection. I was told it would cost $14,000 for everything and at the very least $9,000 to make it road-safe: the brakes were shot. I was told it was a death trap. I asked for a second-opinion from a friend of a friend who was laid off and desperately needed money for Christmas ... he told me the brakes were almost new, but it badly needed alignment.
I wanted a third opinion, so I took it to Tire Kingdom. I told them nothing of the previous stories. I asked for an oil change, a tune-up, and their multi-point inspection. They called two hours later and said, ""I`m sorry, we have bad news. Your alignment is terrible and if you decide to get it done it will take an extra hour and it would cost you $90."" I think I spent $200 that day total at Tire Kingdom and the car continues to run great. Wow. $200 instead of $14,000.
(side note: I complained to the owner of the dealership and actually received an amazing apology, which is why I haven`t listed their name.)
Since then, I have bought tires, which I researched thoroughly on Consumer Reports before going to Tire Kingdom to purchase. As soon as I said which ones I wanted they said, ""Those are great tires."" Very knowledgeable. No sales attempts to change to a more expensive tire.
In summary, just all around great service.
FWIW: Beware Citysearch giving you false bias (suppose I had decided to write a really negative comment about the dealer on his page instead of finding out that the employee had nothing to do with how business is run in general?).
