I would stay away unless you really want to redo it yourself to be right!! I have my own BMW repair shop and was trying to find a machine shop to clean a couple of V-8 heads and check them. I tried NAPA and Carquest but they were about 1.5-2 weeks backed up so the only other choice was dover cylinder head and they took it right away. I thought great finally can get this done. Wrong!! I quickly found out why they were... view more not busy. First when I came back to pick up the heads they only brought out the heads and none of the hardware that I included and he said that was it. No it was not. They finally went and found the missing parts. Not organized at all. No tags, nothing. After paying $150.00 I took them back to the shop to do the valve job and I thought maybe I should just make sure they did a good job. What a joke!! There was still sludge and all in all the oil passages and all the lifter ports were clogged. The cam oil galleys still full of sludge. They never even took the galley plugs out to clean. Isn`t that what I paid for?? To clean the heads. Well I took the plugs out and cleaned all the ports myself and after 3hrs they are all clean like they should have been. Good thing I checked otherwise would have destroyed both heads and camshafts. Very very sloppy work and zero quality control here. If I could have given zero stars I would have. Bottom line unless you want to pay good money and have to do all the work yourself DON`T USE DOVER CYLINDER HEAD!! Hope this helps someone else.

I only give them one star because I have to... long story short they screwed me over. My mechanical tensioner slipped on my freshly rebuilt 420a. I knew I had bent valves, I took it to there shop he looked at it took it in the back. Next, I hear a little compressed air blowing then he brought it back and said it sealed perfectly. They have made me lose my faith in head/machine shops. Instead I bought a completely remanufactured head offline, I want let them or anyone else mess with my head unless I visually see the work done. Oh yea and when I called him back indicating my low compression numbers and leaky valves from leak down test he says that I did not have my header/exhaust manifold on when I took it in. I actually did and he said he "vacuum tested" it and it sealed, well come to find out you have to have the header off to check individual cylinder valves. I REALLY HOPE someone sees this review and heeds my warning to stay at least 10 miles away from the shop or if you get to close your valves may bend. I approve this message

stay away from this company! go somewhere else!

This comapny ruined the parts I dropped off to rebuild my SR20DET. I asked to have the block and cylinder head rebuilt, valve job, all parts cleaned, flywheel resurfaced, etc and half the work was completed 3 weeks later. By then I just picked all my parts up and left. They almost lost half of the stuff I left for them, I had to find the parts for them! They don`t keep any records whatsoever of what they did. They will do and say everything they can not to give you a refund. This will be the last time ever stepping foot into that place.
