Every place can get get a bad review. I just want to throw it out there that I bought my 95 Saturn through Lamar Cook`s and haven`t had a problem since! I still drive it to this day! The sales person was great, the title clerk was WONDERFUL! Yeah, every place has not so charming points, but..if I need to buy another used car...Lamar Cooks is where I`m heading

Did we go to the same place?

After reading all of these reviews it is hard for me to believe that we are talking about the same place. I bought my car almost three months ago and have had no trouble at all. I was impressed with the large selection to choose from, so if you saying you got a POS car maybe you should have shopped around some more as I saw several very nice, newer models cars on the lot. The car I bought is only 2 years old, with lo... view morew miles and in perfect running condition. The price was good considering that the week before a car dealership down the road was trying to sell me a car that was 7 years older with junky interiror for the same price. The interest rate was a little high but I filed bankruptcy recently so I was expecting that, however the monthly payments are amazingly affordable. Everyone was really nice and the only real complaint I have was it was very difficult to try to get the details about the price of the car. They had me call and get insurence before I even knew how much the car cost and what payments would be. I went on a Saturday and the bank they financed me through was closed so I signed some paperwork and got to take the car home with me until I could get offically approved. That was a lifesaver because I really did need the car ASAP due to a schedule change at work and I really appreciated that. I was still a little concerned because at that point I still had no idea what the price info was but I was pleasently surprised when I did finally get all of the info. They get the plates for you too which is another thing that I like. It took a little while but they extended my temp tags until my plate came in. I have had no problem whatsoever with my car. It`s the newest, nicest car I have ever bought, I think its gorgeous and I love driving it! Thanks Auto Choice!

STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!

THIS COMPANY IS FULL OF BULL!!! THEY LET ME DRIVE OFF THE LOT WITH THE TRUCK THAT I WANTED.THEY WANTED A HUGE DOWN PAYMENT WE HAD AN AGREEMENT THAT I WOULD PUT THE DOWN PAYMENT WHEN I GET MY TAXES. I HAD THE TRUCK FOR THREE WEEKS WHEN THEY DESIDED THAT THEY NO LONGER WANTED TO WAIT FOR IT AND TOLD ME TO RETURN THEIR TRUCK. Terrible

Purchasing a car from the car auction which they brought to sell. After purchasing the car started to drive away and the car slamed hard in every gear change. This was something that they had to have known was a problem and once confronted they acted as if it was a surprise to them and had their mechanic take it for a ride. He new less them my poor daughter who I bought the car for when it came to car problems. never will return to this place again! kelly was a good sales person and since she is no longer there the customer service sucks! i tried to trade my car with them for another car and they are too busy to even return a phone call!! i will be going else where

the worst car lot ever

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THESE CON-MEN AND BAMBOOZLERS!!!

I have owned a car purchased from Lamar Cooks Auto Sales now for 2 months, in that two months the car has been broken down 5 times (currently for two weeks) and towed twice (once broken down in the burger king drive thru) They have told me they were going to bring it to the VW dealership to have them five it multiple times, but time again and again they let there backwood mechanic look at a vehicle he`s not capable o... view moref...
