I ordered a replacement part o...

I ordered a replacement part over the phone with what seemed like a knowledgable salesperson. I was asked for my credit card number and told to bring the card in to verify it was my purchase when I picked it up. When I got to the store, the salesperson gave me the item, told me to sign the electronic signature pad to show that I`d picked the item up. Then he walked away. I asked him for a receipt when he came back. H... view moree went to speak to what I must assume was the manager on duty. He came back to tell me that the employee who took the order was supposed to have taken my email address and emailed me my receipt. Since that was not done, I was to have no receipt. In disbelief, I left the store. When I got home to discover that I`d been given the wrong part, I phoned the store. The person who answered the phone identified himself as a manager. He told me that they had the item in stock and that I could bring in the item for exchange, but that I`d need to bring in proof of purchase. I told him what had happened when I came to pick the item up, but he, too, blamed faulty procedures by the employee...who had been working under this guy`s supervision! FYI: as a customer, I don`t need to know how your employees screwed up. I need you to resolve the situation.
