BE SAFE! DON`T BUY ANY VEHICLE...
BE SAFE! DON`T BUY ANY VEHICLE FROM CAR TOWN USA They sell LEMONS!! We just settled in court with CAR TOWN USA which took 18 months. They sold my husband & I a 2004 Chevy Tahoe that didn`t pass safety inspection. Just to name a few issues; both tie rods were junk, had an internal oil leak which they refused to check & the transmission blew up 2x among other problems. When we purchased the vehicle we had our s... view moreons w/us 7 & 2 plus I was 4 months pregnant. We asked for our money back under the LEMON LAW many times; they said NO; so we got an attorney. They DON`T properly inspect vehicles before putting on the lot for sale. Raymond Dussault, Jr. Owner admits that they will happily sell you a vehicle knowing that it won`t pass safety inspection. They do not have a check safety list they go by prior to selling a vehicle. They also don`t have an accurate system in place for invoices or receipts, so it`s easy for them to take advantage of you and THEY WILL!! Hope our story will help someone

Disappointing......
I purchased a car in October, 2007 from Car Town USA. I also purchased the "Gold" optional Warranty to as the salesman put it "to sleep better at night", especially since my car is known to have transmission issues. 6 months later my caliper froze causing an awful grinding sound and damaging my rotors. I called the warranty company and they said that the caliper is covered, take it to any mechanic and they will comm... view moreunicate with them. Well, after calls to 10 different mechanics, NO ONE WANTS TO DEAL WITH THE WARRANTY COMPANY!!!! So I called Car Town and he said oh yeah bring it down...Mechanic hours are 9-5 M-F, no Saturdays. After finding alternate transportation to Attleboro and work, they fixed the Caliper, but only the caliper is covered and they had to replace the rotor and resurface etc. so costs me 270.00. Then I take it home, and begin to hear a knock/clunking noise in the same area where the caliper was replaced. I take it to another mechanic, they tell me the caliper is loose and they can`t tighten it because it`s stripped possibly from the installation. I again find someway to get the car to Car Town, he demands that the Caliper is not loose, its the bushings. Another $70.00 paid to them. I take the car home again, the noise is still there and now it`s worse!!!!!!! I now have to make another call, find a way to get me car there during their unflexable work schedule and hope they are competent enough to fix the issue. I have lost all faith in this company and wouldn`t question whether these issues were caused deliberately in this failing economy. Please think twice before buying from here and especially choosing the sham of a "warranty" company.

BUYER BEWARE
I bought a car from Car Town USA in South Attleboro, December 2007. The sales person and the owner treat you like family prior to the sale but after the sale you are forgotten like yesterday`s trash. A week or two after the sale I start to hear a banging noise in the front of my car. I take the car to the Nissan dealer, because it`s a Nissan Altima 05, to find out what the problem is. They inspect the car an... view mored tell me it is a defective strut which needs to be replaced. I take that information to Car Town USA and show then the paperwork. "Drop the car off and we will make the repairs" and that is what I did. My wife took the car for a drive with their mechanic to listen to the noise and he said "Oh yeah, I know what that is, no problem." They kept the car for two days and when I got the car back the problem was still there. I stop by again and speak with the sales person and he tells me that the mechanic "tightened the bushings" hoping that would fix the problem. Two days to tighten the bushings!
So, I asked the sales person if I could take the car to my mechanic to determine the real problem. The sales person says "That`s a good idea because our mechanic is just a basic repair guy." So I take the car to my mechanic and he puts it up on the lift, takes the strut out and calls me telling me that the strut is defective and needs to be replaced. Now common sense says that you don`t have the car re-assembled with bad parts and driven to Car Town USA to be taken apart again by a "basic mechanic." I had the repair done at a cost of $363.16.
I call the owner of Car Town USA and explain the situation. He starts out saying he will not pay a dime, then says he`ll pay $100.00 and in the end he agrees to pay $263.16 minus the $100.00 deductible. I ask "What deductible?" He tells me that all 90 day warranties have a $100.00 deductible, it`s an industry standard. I asked every friend and stranger in the used car business and all of them laughed at the statement made by Car Town USA.
I agree to the terms of the "$100.00 - 90 day deductible" and when the check arrives it`s for $200.00. I call and fax the dealership but they refuse to call back. I write it off as just another used car dealer who falls into the category of the stereotypical USED CAR DEALER who ranks just below lawyers. Car Town USA should not be believed, they will lie and they will not stand behind the cars that they sell. What`s comical is that I specifically remember the owner and sales person state that they "survive on repeat business from people who know we care about them." BUYER BEWARE!
