Way too Long of a wait

I arrived at Pep Boys at 8: 53AM on a rainy morning. Needed an oil change and a headlight replaced and a fuse or two replaced. Was told initially that it would take about 45 minutes. At 10:00 am the guy at the service desk told us it wasn`t a fuse but something the dealer would have to take care of and that it would be a few minutes before my car was finished. AT 11:00am I went up to the service desk and asked i... view moref there was a problem because it was taking so long. He said that they were waiting for a part for the headlight. (Bear in mind they have a waiting area that overlooks their service garage so that you can see what`s going on). I then asked why the oil change hadn`t been done yet while they were waiting for the part. Some other guy piped in asking what the problem was. I told him that I had been there since before 9am and didn`t understand why I was still there and my car wasn`t done. His reply was that ""they have other cars to work on you know"", to which I said that I haven`t even seen my car go up on the lift for an oil change and that there were only 2 other cars and 2 other mechanics in the garage. I rolled my eyes and returned to the waiting area. All of a sudden there`s 3 guys working on my car and it was ready 15 minutes later. Granted they knocked off 30.00 the bill, but I will never go back there again.

BEWARE

My 20 yr old daughter saw a sign out front for ""$20 oil change"" and stopped to get it. They told her that price was for the ""cheap oil"" and her Hyundai Accent required the ""good oil"" for $32.95. Then they looked up her car and told her that instead it required 7 quarts of oil and would cost $44.95. The car is a 2008 Hyundai Accent that requires 3.5 quarts of oil. These scumbags thought they could take advantage... view more of a young woman. I am glad I educated her about these type of things. Avoid this place.
