I`d give them a negative rating if I could. This dealership is an utter nightmare and I highly recommend passing them by. If you need a buy here pay here there are many other options in the state that function much better than this...My husband and I went in to look at a minivan we saw online. You may show up at one lot and the vehicle you may want to see may be at another lot. BUT, of course in the mean time they have their lovely salesmen ready to try to suck you into their spiel of how they guarantee financing So while we decided to see what this dealership could offer, suddenly we couldn`t qualify for any "out of house" financing. Then the great salesman asked if we would take a car. So I made clear up front, no car. Minivan not negotiable. I have a child in a 250 lb power wheelchair...where do you put that in a car?? So not only did the salesman not listen, he was rude. He told us "with our credit profile we were not gonna qualify for what we wanted". Ok, so then he throws this "in house financing" at us.Then the financing person calls and says she may have a bank and suddenly we don`t qualify for in house financing. Then he tells us the bank denied the loan, so back to the in house finance crap again, but now he wants a $4000 deposit. At this point I want to spit on this guy. He then told me that obviously I haven`t bought a car w/ my "bad" credit before and I needed to go around other dealerships and get a wake up. We left basically told him to take his "deal" and shove it. We went to another regular Honda Dealership (Colonial in Dartmouth, Mass). The salesman treated us w/ total respect. The finance manager got us a normal loan w/ regular terms for a 2010 Odyssey. Shannon told us we couldn`t qualify even for a 2004 Odyssey. BUT here is the huge warning!!! A month after we left Shannon Motors they kept running my husband and my credit files looking for financing (3 weeks after we bought the 2010). Doing that they keep leaving "hard credit requests" which stay on our files for 2 years and damage our credit scores!!! Am very angry and plan on filing a complaint against them thru BBB and possibly RI Attorney General`s Office. BE WARNED AND RUN FAR FAR AWAY!!!

Shanon motors sucks!

Shanon motors is truely a bad dealership they will rip you off. Its true that they dont care about you only your money and the comission that they will get for selling a dead beat car to you. Their cars are all f*** up! They seem nice looking on the outside but inside the hood everything is not fixed up especially the transmission. I finaced a van there few years back and that van has nothing but transmission problem... view more and just last year my boyfriend financed a nissian maxima there. The next day the car already starts to f*** up which happens to be another transmission problem. Do not go there i just wish someone can do something about them like have the news investigate them. Plus their warranty sucks u still have to pay out of your pocket to get your car fixed and they dont even fix anything they just make it seem like they fix it but really they didnt. They did not even put an effort to fix it. I hope shanon motor will get shut down for good one day. Please someone help put them out of business and plus they dont even report your payment to the credit beareau!

I went to the Shannon in Warwick after seeing one of their cars on Craigs list., What a mistake! They were rude and condescending. They changed the price of the vehicle from what they told me on the phone. The manager was so rude. Told me to be thankful I could get any car because I had repo 5 years ago! Avoid Shannon Motors

Shadiest dealership yet!

So I visited this dealership looking at 2010 Mazda 6 my sales person was David. He would not budge on the price of the car (15575) he showed me a print out of the wholesale ""value"" but added in all kinds of options the car did not have to try and hold his price. Once I declined he was not even going to shake my hand and got defensive with me for not buying the car. Great choice

My wife and I were looking to buy a car. Knowing our credit was not to good people told us to go to JD Ryder so we did. Let me tell you it was the worst thing we ever did in our lives. Because of our credit they treated us like we were nothing by low lives. On our way home we stopped at Shannon Motors. Expecting the same treatment we checked them out anyway. Selling cars without title and vin check?!

I have no ratting for them, My husband and I bought a suv and when i went to pay my taxes i was told they were waititng on the TITLE and I needed a VIN check.... isn`t this supose to be done before the car leaves the lot?!?!?!?!!? so i asked the girls in the payment office why noone called me to tell me this and i get "" We dont make phone calls""- (in attitude by the way) and asked what was i supose to do and that ... view moremy temp tag was going to expire soon and all i got was ""shrugged shoulders"" and "" i advise you not to drive your car"" Like REALLY?! are you kidding me?! So i took it into my own hands and went to the dmv and talked to an investigator and by law this should have NEVER happened! Customer Service is Great

The staff @ Shannon Motors is great.. They worked with me to get me into a car that would be the best fit for me, and something that I could afford. & The car is great, fairly new, low miles, and I haven`t had any issues. You people need to understand you are buying a used car! Things could go wrong!

RIPOFF FOR JUNK

I purchase a 12 year old blazer my credit was bad and payments were 350 a month.I drove it home it was awful after closer look was in an accident mirror fell off interior falling apart.I looked under the hood the radiator fluid was a gooey brown color they did change the oil but not the filter and they over filled it.the transmission fluid was burnt and i went to check the air filter there was none.Two of the power w... view moreindows did not work when I took a turn it felt like it was going to roll over.On the highway it shook becase it needed the wheels balanced.They sah they do a 75 point safety check I guess they do not check to see if the windows work or mirrors falling off or fluids.I could not believe they put me and my family at risk by driving an unsafe automobile.I went back and demanded my money back you are warned they lie and dont care about you they just want your money and dont care what kind of crapbox they give you YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED !

Expect multiple repairs on used cars

I have bad credit and went there looking for a decent used car with at least a one year power train warranty. They sold me a 2000 Toyota Camry, which I drove the car 20 miles and the check engine light came on. I immediately turned around and brought the car back to be repaired under the 30 day comprehensive warranty. The car was fixed, although no one called me for two days even though the card had been fixed the fi... view morerst day. Drove the car home about 40 miles and again, the check engine light came on. At this point it became obvious their MO is to do as little repairs as possible, forcing the customer to come back and leave the car as they do piecemeal repairs on it. I was unable to bring the car back immediately, as you have to pay out of pocket for a rental and couldn`t afford to do so. I also had the check engine light code ran by a friend, and the code as an rear 02 sensor, which I will be demanding a receipt for. If you go here to buy an older used car as part of their bad credit program, expect to receive a car that has had the least amount of repairs done to it, and expect to have to bring your car back multiple times in order to have the repairs properly done - while you foot the bill for a rental each time. Overall the customer service from the sales people is good, and you are coming to them with bad credit and few options. But, be prepared to fight with their service department to have the repairs done properly, and to bring the car back multiple times which is certainly an inconvenience considering they could do more comprehensive repairs on the cars before they are sold.

You`ve Been Warned

Really wish i could give 0 stars, but unfortunately I`m stuck giving one. The list of complains about this establishment could just about squeeze into the grand canyon. But here is some basic info i have learned from my experience. Customer service is great up until papers are signed, after car is sold shannon motors couldn`t care less about their ""customers"" (i wouldnt be surprised if they refur to us as sucke... view morers) Every problem caused by Shannon Motors is always someone else is fault (i.e. DMV, Warrenty company, Fiance company, ect ect ) even when Shannon Motors is selling the warrenty, finance, and doing all the registration. Shannon Motors is a take your money, go f**k yourself, stereo typical scumbag used car sales. For Overall Experience, this is the worst one I can imagine, and i have since retained a lawyer to find out what options I have to get my money back, and file reports to the BBB. So as the title says, you have been warned.
