Don`t go there for bodywork. They quote a great price and get you in quick because repeat customers do not exist. John did my paint himself. His manager agreed the job was inferior and offered to correct the issues, only to have john say the vehicle was D.O.N.E. Done. Now I find myself looking for a more responsible place to fix this less than adequate work. I tried to speak to both John and the manager and both re... view morefused to speak to me. Also, this place of business is never open after 4pm although their hours are listed until 5pm.

This family owned business cam...
This family owned business came highly recommended to me by Jeff of Jeff`s Auto Repair on William Penn Highway, who does my mechanical work (and also is quite good by the way). I checked Classic Auto Refinishing out, who were within a mile of my home, even after reading the bogus review that was already posted by a youth who added more and more work on his car and expected to pay only what his hail damage (?) insuran... view morece settlement paid him. They eventually painted most of the car trying to keep him happy. If he was given a new car, this guy wouldn`t have been happy. With both this BS review and Jeff`s recommendation in my head, I thought I would try them out on my scraped bumper, the same job that I had done at another shop, two boroughs away, a couple years earlier. I stopped down, they inspected my car, gave me a written estimate and made a reservation the following week. I took it in that morning, and they called me the very next day and said it was done and ready to pick up. I stopped by, it looked great, and the owner told me that a sensor was painted over which required him to remove the bumper and paint the whole thing, rather than just spot it in. I expected and wanted to pay more, but he insisted on my paying just what he estimated, which by the way, was 20% less than what my regular guy charged me in the past. I find them to be very professional, friendly, honest, and skillful in their work. They stand by their work, and will do what it takes to make you happy, except for the occasional miscontent. Now, I repeat, I went to them after reading the other review, realizing that it was just a vindictive half truth. Let Classic Auto Refinishing bring a smile to your mishap. I highly recommend them. No, I did not know these people, meeting them only when I took my car in the week before they did the work.

Car was damaged by hail back i...
Car was damaged by hail back in March. In May I took the car to Classic because I had only heard good things about them from locals. After a week they had some primer sprayed on the car...no hood, mirrors, or tail lights on the car. I went past one night while it was raining to find my car STILL sitting outside, still with no hood/mirrors/tail lights! I went home, grabbed some painters tape, went back to the shop... view more, taped up all of the holes they left wide open for water to come in, then left a paper note on their door asking my car NOT sit outside in the rain... Certainly not an unreasonable request? While I was there I noticed overspray on all of the door seals, and upper front/rear windsheild seals. Next day I went back to the shop to talk to John, the owner and he was out, so the shop manager spoke to me instead. I again asked that my car NOT be left outside in the rain and his reply was "well the holes were taped off"........really, seriously? I then told him that I was the one who taped them off because their people didn`t do it....Now I`m angry. I showed him all of the overspray and he assured me that it would be taken care of.
Another week goes by and they tell me it`s ready to go in for paint, so I went down to take a look at what they got done. Car was taped off, and the kid that did the tape did a decent job...obviously wasn`t the same person who did the actual body work... Car went into the booth to get sprayed, but I noticed they hadn`t sprayed any more primer on the car...
Next day I came back again to see what it looked like. All they sprayed was the lower silver section of the car so I went home... A few days later they called me and told me they`re about to spray the clear, so I came back and after being freshly sprayed, everything appeared great....as fresh clear always does...
A couple weeks later I see the paint/clear start to settle into the body work and it gets VERY rippled. I take the car back to them and THE OWNER, John, tells me it was perfect when it left, so it must have been me. Excuse me? I tried a few more times over the last 4 months to get them to fix it. At this point it`s a wash, they`re refusing to fix their poor worksmanship and i`m out $3600. Seeking legal action. Needless to say, I DO NOT recommend this body shop to ANYBODY if you value your money at all.
