Reviews:
Years of excellent service from Roth
I searched here just to get their phone number quickly and I was truly shocked to see they had some negative reviews. I`ve had my car worked on here for about 13 years, and both my grown sons have also taken their cars to Roth. We have always had extremely positive experiences and I trust Bob wholeheartedly. While I can`t recall the exact circumstances because it was several years ago, i know that one time I brought ... view morein my car and Bob found it was something very minor that didn`t really need to be fixed and he didn`t charge me a cent; now that`s an honest mechanic! Car repair is expensive, but his prices are fair and I know I`m not being lied to or ripped off. Even though I have moved and now find it inconvenient to get my car out to Roth, I`m willing to still get it there rather than go to a place where I can`t trust them.

Where`s My Oil?
My manual says the oil capacity is 4.5 qt. I supplied super expensive Mobil 1 synthetic oil (5 qt). I`ve been to 3 different garages for oil changes. They`ve always returned a half filled qt of my oil. Bob didn`t do so. He claimed the car used up all 5 qts. So either someone pocketed my oil or they added more than the manual says to use. Can`t trust them either way.

Fair is Fair
I went with a written order for several things. Among them, I really needed to have my hood locking mechanism fixed. (As in, make it work like it used to). When I came to pick it up he said they had it working & charged $9.75 for the ""repair."" I drove it around the corner & found it wasn`t working.
I went back & he argued that it was fine. His mechanic rammed my hood release way up into the dash & harshly slamm... view moreed my fiberglass hood to force it shut.
I went back next day & asked for credit for $9.75 since, they didn`t actually fix it. (Mind you, I had $140 worth of other things done). He refused, saying I was not welcome in his shop & told me to ""have a nice life."" As I walked away I heard him shouting, but I just ignored him.

The guy who got ripped for $9.75

This guy is not to be trusted as he did not care at all about doing the right thing. Bear in mind, as I spoke with him, never did I swear or use any demeaning speech. I spoke fairly, honestly & tactfully. I`ll pay for a service, even if the price a little high. But I will NOT pay for something that wasn`t fixed.
As an example of overpriced: I had 4 wheels (tires mounted on rims) that needed switched w/ 4 other wheels. Bob charged me $32.50! The Ford dealer said they could do it for $17.
