Yesterday I was on 202 north and a truck that had huge rocks in it had one fall out of the back of the truck and hit my windshield and smash it. I immediately called my insurance and had them give me numbers to towing companies in the area, BIG MISTAKE!! this was the first number they gave me, so I called and explained to the guy I was sitting on the highway and needed a tow. The guy told me around 25 minutes, he got... view more there in that amount of time, hooked my car up and took me home. While we were driving there I asked how much this was going to cost and he told me that the hook up fee was $125 and then 3$ a mile after that. Now me coming from a family of auto mechanics thought to myself wow, when the heck did towing get so expensive? Upon getting home I had several people tell me that I paid way to much to have my car towed 14 miles to my house. The final bill was $160. My boyfriend then called the next day and asked how much his hook up fee was and how much the mileage was, the guy said the hook up fee was $65 and $3 a mile. I immediately called the man and told him he owed me $60 and I was coming to pick it up. He then argued and said that I was an accident and an emergency situation. I then told him I was going to have my insurance company fight with him and give him this bad reviewed. I then called another local towing company just to make sure he was wrong and that towing company said that the only way it would have been an emergency was if the police were involved and that is when the tow hook up fee goes up. But in my case the police were not involved and I just needed a tow. So, in this case because I am a female the man totally took advantage of me and basically stole $60 right out of my pocket. I want to thank this man for taking food out of my 17 month old sons mouth cause $60 goes along way in a super market trying to feed my child. So, beware and DO NOT use this place unless you have a lot of money to burn and money doesn`t matter to you!!
