This company is the absolute...
This company is the absolute worst!!! In the three times I have had my car there to fix the same thing, twice other people were there to pick up their vehicles and were complaining because Powls didn`t fixt he problem correctly the first time. Sadly, they already had my car by the time I found that out!
I was referred to Powls by the Ford dealership. I had odometer problems and Ford requires a certain compa... view moreny to do repairs of that nature. Powls is that company in this area. I thought that meant they had to have a good reputation. My mistake.
Powls put the incorrect part in my car and said it was my fault because the part they replaced was wrong. Since the part was wrong they tried to charge me an additional fee for labor, above the original $400 they charged me in the first place.I brought my car to them because the place that tried to fix it before didn`t know what they were doing. This was a fact that Powls knew about before any work was done.
After I brought my car back the second time I was yelled at for bringing it back. After that was straightened out they said they had to order another part and I would have to bring it back another day. After I left, they called and said they ran the vin number for my car and that the part that was originally installed was wrong and they would play with it to get it working when I brought it back.
What they didn`t tell me until after the repairs were made was that they they would be charging me labor since it was my fault the their repairs were wrong. When I went to pick my car up I told him I wasn`t going to pay and to tell me where that leaves us. It ended in an argument where I was treated essentially nonexistent. My concerns were unfounded and I was flat out wrong according to him. He had no interest in hearing what I had to say. Rather he just wanted to tell me why I was wrong and how it couldn`t possibly be there fault for putting the wrong part in.
I did not pay the additional fee and it was a wash. My car is finally fixed and I hope I never have to see them again.
Also, this company is a Better Business Bureau Company. That should mean something, but unfortunately, it does not.
Save yourself some aggrevation and go somewhere else.
