Worst Scammers and bait and switch pricing ever seen!

If possible I would give these guys and especially the nasty woman answering the phone and claiming to be the owner zero stars. My girlfriend had her Jeep stuck in the driveway of our house and I was unable to help her. The snow was heavy and when she was backing out the truck slid into a drainage ditch on the side and she was afraid to try getting it out. She called this towing company to see if they could hel... view morep. The original quote was $85 and it might go up depending on how complex it was. When the guy arrived he quoted to my gf that it ""will be easy and could be pulled right out"". When all was said and done he charged her $150!!! Not knowing what to do she paid him and called me. When I found out I called Muldoons to ask them since I was flabbergasted that the price would go up so much, so quickly especially after the driver said it would be easy (and since if it was easy it would be $85 right?). She immediately got nasty with me and said that ""well why didn`t you help your gf? You couldn`t be bothered"" or something to that effect. I told her it is ridiculous to suddenly up the price to that extent (a 76%) increase and she hung up mid sentence. I called her back and told her I had no desire to talk with her and I want to talk to the owner or her boss. She said ""Well I AM the owner? How do you like that huh?"" and I told her it was a crappy way to do business followed by another hang up. I called back and told her I would be reviewing her company on every website I could find since this is a terrible way to do business to which she said if I call her again she would call the police for harassment. I told her not to bother since I wont call back but I hope my reviews help put her out of business. Summary - This company is terrible, overhcarges, is predatory towards women whom they feel they can easily overcharge and has horrible customer service after blaming it on you. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.

Stay AWAY!!!!

On Tuesday 11/09 I called this place of business because I needed help after a dump body insert slid out of my pickup truck less than a half mile from Muldoon`s (J&B Auto) location near Eats and Sweets. I dealt with Muldoon`s in the past with previous owners and always received quality services from friendly staff. On this occasion all I got was a run around from this company`s owner. The owner wanted to charge... view more a "starting fee" of $150.00 just to assess how to lift the bed into my truck. I suggested to the woman on the phone that since they wanted to charge so much money they might as well pull the bed onto a rollback and take it to my house which is less than 3 miles away from that point. After placing me on hold again for 5 minutes for the third time while I`m on the side of busy Rt 611 this woman tells me her boss doesn`t want to winch the bed onto his rollback because it might scratch it. What is that all about? So in other words if Muldoon`s gets a call to an accident scene and a car lost it`s wheels due to the wreck, Muldoon`s (J&B Auto) is going to turn down the tow to avoid scratching his truck? That comment left me speechless. They sent one guy with a wrecker basically who did nothing because I didn`t have $150 cash on me. They refused the $75.00 cash I had on me as a partial payment even after I offered my driver`s license as collateral until I could go to an ATM for the remainder. I offered a check for the balance (since I`m local) but that was refused as well. The driver took $35.00 from me for doing nothing and I was left on the side of 611 in a bad spot with a dump bed laying in the road as it was getting dark out, creating a hazard for other drivers. This guy is a the worst business person ever. DO NOT get involved with these people. I`ve been in business here in the Poconos for 25 years and NEVER treated any customer like this company treated me.
