My mother has an old car and was having a problem. I read the reviews on here about how honest they, but I am not sure who wrote those reviews. The gear shift had linkage became undone. I called and they said they would come over to get it, it was stuck at Montgomery Mall. I told him that the car was not really worth anything and that my mother did not have money, so if it was going to be anything, dont bother. ... view moreWhat happened next really shows you that people try to take advantage of women. He called me with an estimate well above what I would expect. I asked what it would take to just get it out of the shop without fixing. He said 138. I asked why, he said he had to charge me 75 for towing. (right acrossed the street from the mall, the towing could not have been more than half a mile). I told him that I did not authorize that and he insisted that we had to pay it. In addition, he said he was going to charge me for looking at the car as well. I called typical garage (Bucks County Auto - The best garage in the area) and they said they could tow it for 65 to their place and what he was quoting her at was really high. The guy was really not friendly and I cannot see how, in this economy, he stay in business other than by swindling senior citizens. I learned my lesson, stick with who is good rather than who is convenient.

Great Trans shop

I have had work done here numerous times over the years. It is good to see the same owner and mechanics. They are honest and do really fine work. I had the transmission on my classic1956 ford thunderbird completely overhauled, I took a special 1958 Metropolitan nash transmission and they utilized two transmissions to get one to work. great trans and auto body

This shop does great, honest, and exceptional transmission work. These people do not just do the run of the mill job they really pay attention to detail. When I went to get my transmission work they made sure to explain everything that they were going to do. They also explained to me that they used quality parts. Because I was so pleased with my transmission I then returned to get a paint job done on my Mustang I got racing strips put on the car and they did a fantastic job on my car. Buzz was great he helped me pick out exactly what color would look good and the design of the strips. Buzz explained to me about the paint that they use and how is superior to the paint that many other body shops use. I was very satisfied with the work that I had done on my cars at Buhner Motors.
