Bad Attitude=Questionable Workmanship, in my opinion...
From the rude cashier, to the uptight workers in the back, this place was very uninviting. I know work is not fun, that`s why it`s called work but you have to have a sense of professionalism or a business will not strive in any economy, especially this one. If the Export Tire Co. employees don`t change their attitudes, it will one day be known as Extinct Tire Co., which=extinct jobs. (This was my experience at the... view more Export Tire Co.) Have a nice day. GO STEELERS!!! *These are solely my opinions, God Bless...

Export Tire is the best in Pittsburgh
I have been dealing with Export Tire for 39 years. I have never had a complaint. Evey one that I have had go there has been happy with the work. There Mechanic is very good, and Tires are there specialty. Yes you can get them cheaper, but not better. The owner is friendly, and honest. Yes you pay more for a mounting job if you bring in your tires to have them mounted. They have a light bill also. And they like to e... view moreat sometimes. Good people, Good products, Good Prices. Mount and bubble balance free if you buy the tires there. I have had a bubble balance over 100 MPH with no problems.

Great Tires For a Good Price
I have been looking for unusual tires for my old equipment, and they were the only ones who could help me. They were extremely knowledgable. I will definitely go back to see them again. Thank so much!

Tractor Tires
One of very few places in the area who can repair leaks in tractor tires filled with calcium solution. Also, they seem set up to do more commercial than consumer work. Agreed, their customer relations are not the best. Penn Hills, PA

Poor Service
I was a long time customer of Export Tire. I`ve been purchasing tires and service from them since I was 16. This time however, I found a great deal on a set of tires online. I purchased the tires online and took them down to Export tire to have them put on. I`m used to paying about $10 a piece to put the tires on, and $4 to balance. The guy behind the counter was uncommonly rude and said; "$20 per tire to p... view moreut them on, $8 to balance; I sell tires here too!" I was stunned that they would change the price on me like that because I found a deal elsewhere. Between the price hike, and the rude attitude, they have lost a long time customer. I had heard rumors it was getting like this, but continued to give them a chance... never again. There is a place right up the street that will do the same thing, for half the price, and they thank you for the business. --In response to "Youre an idiot" Thank you for your response. It oddly reads about as professional as the gentleman I dealt with. I too work in retail. I know it`s a surprise but, I don`t work for the devil government. In my job, I sell computers, and service computers. I, like Export Tire, appreciate when someone purchases a product (PC) from me. I`m happy to help them with service as well, for a set price for a given service. We`ll call it price X. Now, if a customer comes in, with a PC he bought elsewhere, do I take price X and double it for the same task? No. Why? Because they are still bringing me business. It may not be optimal, but they are still going to pay me a fair wage for the task. The task doesn`t change because they bought the PC elsewhere, likewise the price should not. Furthermore, I am certainly not rude to them for bringing me business, when they could have gone to any national chain retailer. Now if the cost of my service is X, I`m certainly within good business ethics to offer a discounted price (X - %) for the service, provided they purchase the PC from me as well. Call it a package deal. What I won`t do is raise the price (X + %) for the crime of finding a better deal. That would not be good business. I can understand the stress of competition. However, turning a return customer in to a disgruntled ex-customer does not ease that stress. In fact, it increases it. I hope this helps clear up my position. If you do choose to respond again, please leave the name calling out. It doesn`t serve anyones purpose very well. Thanks!

I Will Not Go Back
I bought four Delta tires for my Honda CRV there. I had to accept another size because they did not stock the size that I needed. Then I had to pay someone else to re-balance them because they vibrated at highway speeds. About a year later, I cut a tire and went back to purchase a matching replacement tire. Naturally they did not have the size that I needed in stock. I rode around for over a week on my donut... view more spare. When the replacement tire showed up and I drove away with it on the car, it was noticeably bumpy. I went back, and had to spend a couple of hours there while and all kinds of tire and wheel switching took place because rather than accepting that it was defective tire, it was certain that the problem must have been my wheel or some other defect on my car. Eventually, after exhausting all other possibilities, they finally agreed to order a replacement for this bumpy defective tire (right: no more in stock). A month later, I finally got the replacement tire installed. While this defective Delta tire was exchanged at no cost, I had to pay them for having it mounted and balanced. Never again - I will not deal with a tire place that has such low inventory, such long ordering times, and feels that I should be paying them have their defective tire replaced. Buyer Beware.
