Colwell is a life saver!
Colwell Automotive is a life saver! I rented a U-haul and got stuck trying to go up a steep hill. Sunday before Memorial day, Colwell brought a tow truck from an hour away to help me get unstuck. He had me out in a matter of minutes. I was in a new city where I didnt know anyone, in a very vulnerable situation, and could have easily been taken advantage of. I fully expected to pay an arm and a leg for a tow truc... view morek. Far from ripping me off, Colwell did it FREE of charge!
Thank you so much, I couldn`t get another tow truck to come and even U-Haul Roadside Assistance couldn`t find me a tow truck. I strongly recommend Colwell Automotive if you are looking for someone you can trust to help you out!

Specializes in Europen brands. Will fix your car but will rip you off!
Colwell Automotive spezializes on European brands, Mercedes, BMW, etc. The owner is known to be an expert of W123, W124 body style Mercdes, which is probably true. They will diagnose a problem and will fix it for you, However, you should get some homework done before you decide to bringing your car there. Although after reading this post you might decide not to go there at all. If however you take your benz or BMW th... view moreere anyway, you really should do soem homework, so that you can avoid the same mistakes I made. First and foremost, insist to get a quote for possible repairs. Ask how many hours of labor are going to be spent and what is their hourly rate. In my case, the labor charge would amount 6 - 7 hours of labor, (per $50 per hour), whereas in fact the amount of work was 2 hours at most!. Second, request a quote not only on labor, but on parts as well. because If you don`t, they will charge you twice as much as if you would buy them in Pep Boys or Autozone. They charged my horrendously inflated prices on parts, and I couldn`t do anything. Next, clearly define what kind of repairs are to be done, Because if you don`t, you will find bunch stuff replaced or "repaired" that you never asked, and you will be stuck with exorbitant charges!.
With all that have said, I would not take my car to Colwell`s again, and would not recommend to anyone either.
