SCAM AGAIN
(Limerick) CJ Tires charged me plenty of money for a new battery. I recently found out from my car dealership that my battery required replacement. I was shocked and described how I went to CJ Tires in Limerick for a new battery the previous week! I went to the West Chester CJ Tires and explained the situation. I went to a different location because I have read the previous reviews and did not want to return. Even th... view moreough I am grateful for this location to admit that there really wasn`t one replaced, I was extremely upset.
How dare they charge me and not replace it?! How can you do that to customers? Where are your standards? Please do not come to the Limerick location because they are truly a scam! I should have went with my gut feeling and not receive service there. Not only are they scam artists, but they are not personable at all! They don`t look you in the eye and could care less about your needs!
If you recently received service here, I highly recommend you go to a trustworthy place and see if it was actually done. This place needs to close down! They will not get away with this absolutely unprofessional and unethical behavior.

Scam artists
I had my car inspected at this CJ tire location about 3 years ago, and the mechanic said that I needed new shocks to pass inspection. I checked them out myself, and they were fine. I gave the car the "bounce test", and they worked perfectly. He said that because they had an oil sheen on the side of them, they failed inspection - and it would cost over $400 to replace them.
After checking with multiple website... view mores, a friend of mine who was a mechanic, and the PA vehicle code, I found that an oil sheen like this is perfectly normal for an older shock absorber, and that this is NOT a failing condition in the PA vehicle code. In fact, the vehicle code specifically states that this is NOT a failing condition, and says that the shock needs to be replaced only if it is dripping oil or leaking large amounts of it.
After presenting this information to the mechanic and getting into a heated argument about it, he simply refused to pass the car even though it certainly was up to code. He said that "even though the vehicle code says that an oil sheen on the side is ok, I don`t think it is. I have to sign my name on the inspection form, and I don`t want to take any chances". Yeah, that`s a nice self-righteous excuse for ripping off customers... I`m sure that CJ tire is happy that he has such "discriminating standards" when it comes to vehicle inspections, since they will be the ones performing the "needed repairs".
I ended up taking my car to another garage to get inspected, forfeiting the money I paid for the inspection at CJ Tire. That garage said that the car was perfectly fine, and I even pointed out the oil sheen and asked about it, and he said that all older cars get like that - it is nothing to worry about and not a failing criteria for inspection.
I will never go back to this CJ`s Tire ever again, and I hope that no one else does either.

gouges customers
My son took his car to CJ Tire and was given an estimate of $451.00 for a repair. We felt the estimate was high so we checked with Keiser Miller Ford and were given an estimate of $270.00 for the same repair! The DEALER was almost $200 (45%) less than CJ Tire so we decided to use the dealer. We were charged a $90.00 for evaluation fee at CJ Tire and couldn`t get the car back without paying the bill. I would NOT r... view moreecomend CJ Tire to anyone. I now question all of the other repairs we had done there. There are a lot of good, honest mechanics in the Collegeville/Limerick area and I would advise you to find one of them and avoid CJ Tire.
