Best auto service, most honest.

This auto repair shop has a 5 star rating in my book. They are the most honest shop I have ever had dealings with. If something was not right with my car I just call them, and they have me bring the car back. They can`t fix what I don`t tell them is not right. Everyone there is so polite and helpful. They explain everything to me in detail so I understand all repairs. I LOVE THIS REPAIR SHOP!

Great Service and competitive prices

Very friendly people at the front desk helped me. They were able to diagnose the problem with my car quicky. I really appreciate that they let me know what options I had and what my car needed. I even shoped around, but they were still very competitive on their prices. This is a place that you can send your mom or sister to and feel good that they wont` be taken advantage of.

We all make mistakes, but few correct them to this extream

I was having problems with the air conditioners on both of my cars. The Corolla I let Same Day Auto repair and they did an excellent job. The Nisan I had them diagnose the problem and chose to take it to a friend, who had just been laid off from another shop, he was starting his own business and needed some work. I told my friend what the diagnoses was and he ordered the parts (non-returnable) and put it in, oops, th... view moree diagnoses was wrong, it turned out to be a different part that was causing the failure. Later I talked to TJ personally and told him about what had happened so he could use this experience for a learning opportunity. In hind sight he realized that a mistake was made in the diagnosis by his mechanic and insisted that he was going to pay for all of the extra cost (the non-returnable part and labor) that I had had done by the other mechanic. This cost TJ over $600. For work that his shop didn`t actually do! Show me a dealer that would do this!

Portland Subaru owners have a home in Clackamas

We live in Portland, and there are plenty of dealers and Subaru repair shops nearby... but none that have treated us as well as Same Day. We drive the extra distance to Clackamas for our oil changes, service, and repairs because the family at Same Day explain to us all of our options and answer our questions so we can make informed choices about our vehicles. Until last weekend, we had a Forester under warranty (to... view moretaled by a drunk driver last Saturday) and an Impreza that is not, and they have made numerous repairs on the Impreza and serviced the Forester. If we get another car, it will be a Subie, and it will be driven to Same Day the day after I get it for a check up. On our Impreza, there was a front CV boot problem that had been repaired by two other shops prior and failed. The repair done by Same Day is still going strong after 20K miles - no leaks, no burning rubber. They also maintain our brakes and repaired our airbag. In the past, we`ve only got about 30K miles from a set of pads in city driving. It`s been 40K since our last ones at Same Day, and we`re still doing fine - probably another 15K miles left on them. I don`t know how they compare with other shops on pricing, because I don`t shop around for the cheapest price. That Wal-mart mentality only leads to disappointment in the long run. I have already shopped for the best quality repairs, and I pay what it is worth to me, which has always been reasonable with Same Day.

Very clean shop, friendly employees

I had my car towed into Same Day Auto and they told me I needed an engine replacement. They also advised me not to do the repairs because my car wasn`t worth it. I didn`t expect that level of honesty. I will definitely be back after I purchase another car.

overpriced

We had our SUV towed to this service center because it was close to home, we later learned that location for Auto repair is not important, we should have gone to the same shop we had gone to for the last 9 years but it was so far away and I really needed to get my care fixed ASAP because the next day was my sons birthday and I had kids to transport.

They determinded the problem with my car was a bad altenator... view more.. fine how much I asked to have this fixed.. the quote was approx $650.00.!!!..

So I made a few calls to my shop and a few other shops and got a quote of approx $250.00- $300.00 for the repairs to be done at their locations.. so I called back and asked why his price was so high His answer was it was the best on the market and should last 10 years.. I said to him .. have you looked at my car it is 9 years old... I dont think it has 10 years left of life... so my car will be sitting in the junk yard but it will have a great altenator...

So they knocked the price down to around 450.00.. so I still over paid

then almost 1 year later. .while coming home from a road trip.. the ""really good altenator"" that should last 10 years .. died.. we had to have our car towed from Salem !

It was under warantty... but the only thing close to an apology was ""sometimes you get a lemon"" ??!!?? And I was never offered a courtesy car!

Exceptional service

When my car broke down over the weekend, I called the emergency contact number. An employee opened up the shop and provided me a rental car. It ended up being a defective alternator they had installed 1 1/2 years ago. They ended up fixing it for free and didnt charge me for the rental car either. I`ve been using them for over 12 years.
